You say this like people who think it's fine are lying to themselves, except maybe people are nitpicking about it because it's not 100% exactly like the show model, which none of Kingdom ever was.

I'll never understand the complaints about there being gaps in the back of a figure, or being able to see robot parts if you look underneath the vehicle mode. It's areas your NEVER going to look at, and in most cases, it's like that for the sake of the transformation.

I like this sudden defense of the T30 figure now, because when it came out, everyone said it sucked and now it's suddenly this divine idol of Rhinox toys.

 

I mean, at least that one came with proper weapons. Their beast modes are about the same in terms of quality as well, but I can easily see some people prefer the T30 one.

 

Yeah, this new Rhinox's weapons are a complete joke.

 

What if I told you I always liked the T30 Rhinox? I mean... I was up for upgrading if this one ended up better because there was certainly room for improvement from the T30 figure, but... this doesn't cut it for me. I mean, if other people like it great, but lets not pretend like everyone and their mother hated the T30 version either as that's simply not true.

I liked the T30 one too; I defended it back then. But I remember just constantly complaining about it because the legs were loose.

Haha, no probs. I just wanted to point out exactly what (at least my personal) criticisms were, so the people not seeing the flaws might get where the detractors' points are coming from.

I'm getting a chuckle out of the sudden T30 Rhinox worship too. Love the figure, but those hips and toddler waist aren't perfect.

With Kingdom Rhinox, I think it's more of a case that the sculpt/design is middle of the road for what could've been done....and the internet can't do middle of the road.  

This Rhinox isn't a bad looking figure, but at the same time it isn't as good as it could have been and falls flat when measured by the standard that the rest of the BW cast has set so far.

I genuinely think a more on-point headsculpt would have satisfied enough people that the rest of the issues would've been mostly overlooked.

With the gaps in the back, I only think it's worth a raised eyebrow when a modern WFC figure can't look more solid than a figure made during Hasbro's cost cutting years.

I feel bad for the guy who had to sculpt Rhinox’s alt mode bum because he had to google “rhino ass” and put it in the resource folder as a frame of reference

They're his friggin' chain guns there's literally nothing wrong with them

 

That photograph of T30 Rhinox's rear is obscuring quite a few gaps, as things would have it.

 

They're flat disks that plug onto his fists.

It's hardly a gun, they stuck a rotary blade on a handle and that's it. Where's the big ammo box? Pale imitation.

 

The big ammo box is Oh Crap The Original Toy Only Had To Fit One Of These Inside Him When He Was In Beast Mode, Now The Cartoon Says We Have To Give Him Two. That's where it is.

 

At least the kingdom version has no back kibble.
