Has there been any rumors or info on new Masterpiece Beast Wars stuff?
Literally the last reply in this thread
I think there's a rumor floating around of an orange Tigatron, but I'm not really well-versed on that kind of stuff. I think it's mostly speculation at the moment.
is that a reference to something? I've never seen Tigatron in anything but white
the original prototype Tigatron toy showed at Toy Fair in 1996 was spelled Tigertron and he was orange in color. Later the toy and tv show was changed to a white Tiger.
That’s a shame about the possibility of CW reissues. I would have liked to have gotten some of the Takara only releases (I would love Ratchet, a seeker with the Starscream head, a seeker with the thrust head, the UW Nosecone and Strafe, the unused second heads for Rook & Trailbreaker and for Voyagers the Demolisher head for Onslaught and the Starscream Head for Cyclonus.) not the biggest loss but would have been cool!
Come on Hasbro, at least give us Perceptor. Save us from his ridiculous aftermarket prices...
Why would they reissue a Headmaster Perceptor when they'd make bank releasing a new one in the WfC style?
Very interesting to hear about them costing out alteady. Hard to imagine, then, the Walmart Vintage Cheetor being a reissue of the original at the same price as modern deluxes.
That'd of course be ideal but we already know it's not happening anytime soon.
Why would the cost to re-issue CW be too high? CW wasn’t too long ago so all the molds should be available. Mold degradation? Since many of the CW molds were recolored/retooled extensive in the line.
Bank? If the can reissue and sell the headmaster version they save bank by not having all the costs getting them to that point.
Fix'd that for you.
The connectors are a mess of parts. Ratchets, springs, etc. The robots themselves aren't too problematic as parts count goes, but those connectors ain't cheap I'd imagine. My guess is they'll do something akin to CW connectors (since they're simplistic on paper) but put all of the innards inside Motormaster (or his trailer if it's a DX9 type of combiner).
I'd like a Cyberverse Perceptor.
Did he have an alt in that show? Because I feel like they'd totally give him a microscope mode in the toyline.
Yeah I feel like the time to have gotten Ratchet, Hoist, ironclad, and the two seeker deluxe would have been in POTP or in an early selects release.
No, but I'd bet you're right. He has to ride on top of other transformers for transportation. He clearly doesn't have a vehicle mode. I'd love to see his Cyberverse alt-mode.
Wait, when the hell was this established? I didn't see anything about anyone in the know shooting down the CW reissue theory in this thread.
Gotta call BS on that, we got combiner wars molds for current retail prices as recently as Siege (more recently if you count Devastator). Mainline hasn't seen significant price increases since then, so if Combiner Wars molds could be sold for current retail then and Titans Return molds can be sold for current retail now, then the line of thought that says they'd be too expensive doesn't track logically.
