Full set of SS Wave 5 Deluxes (2x Sideswipe, 2x Barricade, 2x WWII Bee, 1x Crankcase, and 1x Clunker Bee) at Walmart in Normal on Greenbriar. Only thing I took was one Barricade (though might go back to get Sideswipe since my paycheck was larger than what I was expecting).

Update: well, so much for that. Just went back to Walmart, and while there were literally like 15 of them there, now it’s been cleaned out to just 2 Dropkicks, all in a matter of 3 hours... at Walmart of all places   I mean I’ve heard of scalping, but Jesus

So because you were snoozin’ and loozin’, it’s now the fault of scalpers?? I always shake my head at that being the default explanation for why someone can’t get their hands on a figure. If you bought that stuff and the next guy missed it, and blamed scalpers, wouldn’t you say that person was misdiagnosing the issue?

 

not to mention ordering online which is by far more worry free and convenient for me these days on stuff I actually want. I am not fast at getting to stores so Id rather have my loot just delivered and screw the hunt.

It's funny how much my wife likes to go out and "hunt" for figs while I prefer sitting in my office and just ordering online for the toys I want. Guess old age and getting frustrated at not finding things at retail has made me jaded to the physical hunt now!!

I enjoy the hunt up to a point but like as of today I've hit 2 to 3 stores near me every day this week and probably part of last weekend too and still can't find the new SS leaders or voyagers. Gets frustrating when it seems they are being commonly found just a couple hours away. At this point I'll probably give up the chase and let my pre-orders come in.

Meh, I usually pre-order via BBTS (because you can cancel) then see if I can find them local first because I do like to try to hunt for a bit and a good chunk of the time I can find things easily local and avoid the shipping fee. Just every so often it seems like my area just missed out on the first shipment of a wave and I end up blowing a week hunting and come up empty handed.

Did Target change their DCPI system? I scanned 2 different SS deluxe figures today on a scanner and they both have different DCPI codes even though they were in the same wave
