So what's the verdict from people who own MakeToys Giant, TFC Toys Hercules, & Hasbro Titan Class Devastator?

 

I have both Maketoys Giant and Titan Class Devastator. I LOVE both, but if I was stuck on an island and only had to choose one, I'd choose Titan Class Devastator. For me, it's just a funner toy to play around with and it looks awesome. I still love Maketoys Giant though -- he's always going to be badass.

 

I've got Maketoy's Giant, and I really, really like it. So much, in fact, that I'm passing on the Titan Class entirely. Don't need them both, and I have decided I like Giant better. His scale is better for the other Combiner Wars combiner sets. His aesthetic is more Mech-centric and less animation-based. His parts/ weapons integration is way slicker, his individual figures have better propotions and articulations, and Tian Devy is just too damn big. I have space issues. If I were collecting all the MP figures, I would probably get him, but I decided a while back not to do that. I'm just pretty much collecting the original '84 lineup in MP figures.

Tried to see if South Elgin TRU had devastator but the unfriendly manager would not bother to check. They looked on line and said it was preorder only. When I told him it has been sold in other stores in the area he denied it. I have had a lot of helpful employees in the past look up items and even call other stores to hold products. Pretty disappointed in this particular manager. Needless to say, my 8 year old who will be playing with this was unhappy as well.

The Riverside TRU did the same to me. I called my friend who is a manager at my Local Melrose Park TRU and she called the N.R. TRU and they put it on hold for her, which they wouldn't do for me! They were telling me it was on hold til July 29th. Be persistent!

 

They don't have any Devastators any more.

 

Hmmm... Melrose Park is the really the only one near me (live in Elmhurst), so that's my stop. So no point in stopping in there till the 29th?

 

Picked up Devastator, Hotspot and legends groove from Melrose TRU. They had 2 cases of wave 3 (I believe) CW voyagers.

 

I work near there, so of course the first day I don't have a chance to check they have them. Oh well, I will just wait for BBTS to ship them which is hopefully soon based on their email.

Found Devastator at the Moline IL Toys R Us today at 5:30pm.

They also had legends Hot Rod, Skywarp, and Warpath among others.

 

2 cw Devastators at bloomingdale TRU as of an hour ago! Good huntin!

 

I picked up one devastator and was one left on the shelf as of 3pm.

Also a heads up they raise the price in store to 159.99

They will price match the web site.

 

Got the last Devastator at Algonquin after calling ahead of time. Can't believe how fast they raised the price on this.

Yeah, luckily had the coupon, though for some reason the $10 off one didn't work with it.

 

I found Cyclonus at Melrose TRU. They price matched the 15.29 target price on Deluxes, but then the 10% off TRU cc thursday and my 20% off coupon wouldn't work on those. Kind of lame. TRU is getting to be really rough to buy from. The woman at the counter was acting like the discount came out of her pocket. I had to fight to get a price match!
