I really hope this game is a starting point for a great series. The ideas are solid and I really think they have done a great job catching that G1 feeling. Even the name boxes look like something from an old G1 box.
So will this game have a sexay timez mini-game/cut scene then?
I can't wait to play this.
Graphics look great, I love the G1 style, and they got all the G1 actors.
Gameplay does look a bit repetitive, though.
But man, that guitar riff when Devastator appeared.... sound very similar to Instruments of Destruction, one of my favorite songs from the animated movie
It might not win any awards for having the most involved gameplay ever, but it definitely ticks all the right boxes for me so far.
And the way things were phrased, I get the sneaking suspicion that Megs isn't the ultimate big bad...hmm. :O
Hahahahaa That would be awesome!!!! Turtle wax Elita One up real good.
I'm sorry but this game looks fun as f***
These games are all about replaying and mastering the combat system so wail through enemies without a scratch in the most stylish way possible. You get what you put into it so if you want a sit back and mash to win you probably won't be happy with it. It's up to Platinum if the characters and enemies are diverse and intricate enough to keep the moment to moment from getting too samey. It really does look the Revengence team went and put this together.
they did say during the original announcement (might have been the playthrough by the website I cant remember) that there was going to be some platforming between the arenas but it was very linear
Yeah, it looks great to me.
But I did wonder why Grimlock had a hammer.
Great game... yes. Best game... probably not.
I think if they made a Batman Arkham Knight style game with these graphics it would be amazing. Don't remember many Autobot/Decepticon battles with 50 hit combos in the 80's lol
Either way i'm already preordered haha
Platinum takes their Transformers to work and have play time. Man that would have been fun to see.
You know what Grimlock with a hammer actually works better than him having a sword.
Maybe a nod to his live-action movie counterpart having a huge mace?
That's how I've felt about all the other TF games thus far. I'm excited for a break from sub-par third-person shooters with some fast paced Platinum combat!
It's basically a mix of mad world and bayonetta, visually looks interesting but I'm going to stick to my guns, it's not a game for me.
Being honest it looks like an iOS type game, you know the type you download, play in bursts for a couple of weeks then delete three months later when you need storage space
Feel a bit better now I've seen a tad more.
I am LOVING this!! Come on October 8th! That said, I'm trying not to get too carried away.
I always felt the sword gave him a sort of classic, pulpy barbarian feel.
Ya know, if this game proves successful... I can see Has/Tak deciding to use the Classics Seeker mold yet again. Also, the Classics Wheeljack/Tracks mold is definitely reusable as the Ground Troopers too. (Slap on the Battlecharger heads from the TFCC releases).
