Shame about Titans Return Sentinel. Both iterations were terrible in alt mode and looked like something built with solid colored Lego's. I'd definitely take a well done Sentinel with actual paint detail (and that preferably isn't obviously Astrotrain cosplaying as Sentinel) at some point.

I just viewed Sentinel as one of the shuttles from TF:TM. Hell, if I had managed to pick one up, I would have picked up a second one to edge in blue while the other was edged in red.

I don’t know if I would reuse the seige astrotrain for a new sentinel prime, but maybe a brand new sculpt

Or G1 Optimus (fists) or G1 Seekers (also fists), and I'm sure many others I'm forgetting, partsforming was there since day 1.

I don’t mind G1 Sentinel Prime being orange repaints of Astrotrain toys.

A lot of the autobot cars had missiles and weapons that didn’t store in vehicle mode.

alright granted, but that was in ‘84 when TRANSFORMERS started off as a brand that combined multiple japanese toylines and rebranded as “transformers”

what i meant to say is its disappointing to see hasbro investing less effort in the engineering of their tf products and resorting to partsforming considering how far they have progressed in the past with previous CHUG and siege line where there was no partsforming.

im just let down by ER cliffjumper being pretty much a legends figure that partforms and passes as a deluxe because of some skis packed in with the toy

same goes with astrotrain... a really short voyager figure with a landing base but passes as a leader class figure

But that's not at all what's happening with Cliifjumper and Astrotrain. Deluxe, Voyager etc. are pricepoints not size classes, it's about parts count and plastic, we all just got used to them being uniform sizes for so long. Astrotrain weighs almost exactly the same as an older Leader, even without all his accessories he weighs more than an old Voyager, and you can't seriously look at his engineering and say "yes, this is exactly the same as a Titans Return Voyager". So what if there's a bit of partsforming now and then, there's clearly a lot more going on with ER Cliffjumper than just being "a Legend being passed off as a Deluxe". All G1 Arcees are just doomed to have a backpack, I agree the """hoverboard""" isn't exactly the most sophisticated way to address it but, well, it's that or bump her up to a Voyager so they can get that extra design budget $$$ to try incorporating more of her alt-mode into robot mode, but then people would complain that "she's a Deluxe being passed off as a Voyager", right?
Honestly the idea that HasTak are investing less effort in designing and engineering TFs now is pretty laughable when you look at the WFC lines, you make it sound like partsforming is rampant again when it's just, what, two entire ER Deluxes that do it? Only one of which does it in a way that could actually be considered "tacked on"?

Fans just don’t want tiny Deluxes or Voyager sized Leader class toys with a bunch of unwanted accessories added.

dont attempt to speak for all the fans, some actually like the increase in scale and engineering

Yeah. I prefer play pattern and interesting gimmicks to size any day.

I believe that I'm in the minority of fans though, as I don't display my collection at all.

Sure, some fans don't but many of those same fans also complain endlessly about hollowness. Y'know what causes visible hollowness? Stretching the plastic budget to make a toy be a certain size, something that was evident in many pre-WFC Generations toys, and a few of the bigger boys like Siege Ironhide and Impactor. For e.g. Earthrise Doubledealer looks to be closer in size to the Leaders of yesteryear because he's not an armour-up type, but y'know what he's got as a result? Big ol' empty lower legs.
Personally I (mostly) like the relative scale that's been introduced as of Siege, not only because I generally like that in my collection, but because it allows HasTaks designers to flex their muscles a bit more than what they could do previously.

Now, I think some may be willing to pay for the highly accessorized leaders that aren’t willing to drop 20 bucks on the slightly accessorized Deluxes like Cliff.

At least I hope I’m not alone on this.
