SG Ratchet also had official colors, but his new toy didn't really stick to them.
It does stick to them.
The Ark is awesome! Sad I never have room for combiners or titans. Hope we get Teletraan-1 also in Mainframe colors, I loved him as a kid. Would like Jackpot and Powerflash as well Galvatron looks indeed better, still not a fan of the proportions and purple splatters. But I could potentially see myself maybe caving on a repaint. For now I still prefer my LG Galvatron with upgrade kit. I think Galvatron needs a tad longer torso and legs. And different feet. They look as if he stole them from a train.
I just noticed that one of the screens on Teletraan-1 has Vector Sigma and the key on it. And man I really want a CHUG scaled Vector Sigma with a key, why do they have to tease me like this?
Yeah here, I tried to draw it. Purple is the side of his torso, green is shoulder joint, and red is arm. The bottom diagram shows the green shoulder joint how it should be positioned, the cgi render proves this. But every picture we've seen of the figure so far has it misassembled with that shoulder piece upside down, like the top diagram. This causes his shoulders to sit much lower than they're supposed to which leads to proportion issues
How do you know?
Keep in mind that that figurine is less than half an inch tall
This is not correct. The press release article is wrong. All you have to do is look at the pictures to see it. No part of the ark looks like pieces from the smaller bot, and the smaller bot clearly only turns into the computer station
This is Straxus's alt mode. Oddly similar to Galvatron's actually
Scorpion mode is probably the better of the two modes, but the Scorpion head looks underwhelming here - would prefer a show accurate version that would be able to go slightly lower to cover the gap between the shoulder pads. Robot mode's main issue is the torso, should be thinner as it goes down - granted some versions of Scorponok are chunky but he looks kinda rectangular in the middle. It's easily the best Beast Wars Scorponok figure we have, but those two aspects stop it from being awesome. As a sidenote, hopefully the rocket and bee are removable, glad they included them but it'd look odd if they are not removable. For what is mostly looking to be a shell former, at least make his shell or torso accurate.
Wonder if the Bee and missiles can be removed.
Actually, no it doesn't. The SG version from the comics uses a good bit of black, while the new figure is only white and teal.
Aw come on man Bumblebee ain't that bad
I do agree that there needs to be more focus on the Decepticons, I get that they're the bad guys but they need to feel real as characters too. I know maybe asking for some moral complexity from Transformers is a bit of a pipe dream, but if the next movie portrays its Decepticon antagonists less as sadistic monsters who love killing and torture, but as soldiers and regular Cybertronians who are just doing a job and the Autobots kill them anyway... a bit depressing, sure, but it's FAR more interesting than most stories that end up getting told (I know the comics do this and they do it pretty well, however most people don't really read comics anymore especially if they aren't from Marvel or DC).
I'm getting sidetracked - Straxus, yes. Such a cool character, man. A shame he hasn't been done again in any impactful way - a brutal, merciless warlord with a thirst for power to rival Megatrons could be such an interesting character to see in live action, especially if you want to add layers to the war and make it feel more real.
That's just the lighting in the image, the toy uses the rights colors.
^ This a better look at SG Ratchet's colors.
Transforming Telatan-1? Fuck yea!
I'm down for the Ark and teletran.
Scorpy looks alright, but holding out for the 3p version instead.
Actual text from my brother just now... he’s right; we need TITAN SCROUNGE!!!!!!
Decimator of the Smelting Pool
I was going by this comic panel:
...and the custom class figure:
That's his reformatted body.
I would assume yes, probably both on standard 5mm pegs and the ports are inside his claws.
this are gonna be great in my collection..!!
Actually, thatd be his backup body. The purple symbol is there and that was explained as his backup plan. Not relevant to the point but still
