I am thinking of purchasing Igear's Ironhide. I am rather nervous about Igear's quality however. I recall steering clear of Igear after considering their Ultra Magnus at one point, watching youtube reviews, and seeing the leg break off just when the dude happened to simply move it!

So yeah back to my question anyway...how is Igear (specifically Weapon Specialist) when it comes to plastic quality and QC? Anyone had theirs break? Thanks!

You won't have problem with the plastic quality, the only thing you may have a problem with "sturdiness wise" is the engineering/design because some parts are really thin. If you handle it carefully, it'll be okay.

Agreed. Very solid, just handle with big kid gloves and you'll be fine. Worth every penny. There will never be better representations of these 2 characters.

Well, read through his feedback thread. There is very little negative that the masses have said. I'd say this is still the best piece that IGear has put out.

I'd go as far to say it's the best 3rd party mold currently available.

The QC is fine and the achievement in making such awesome representations of G1 Ironhide & Ratchet is considerable.

City Commander was a landmark but is aging badly, Hercules & Giant have raised the bar for combiners but the Specialists are the first G1 Ironhide & Ratchet toys that don't suck and aside from minor cosmetic issues it's unlikely that Takara could improve on them.
