Considering I've just recently gotten into collecting and don't have any MPs yet, I may just hold out for those alleged new Seekers. Same goes for MP-10.

At this point I don't even consider it a rumor, (insert disclaimer that I don't have official knowledge) it's GOING to happen. Fun time? Expensive time!

I have no problem with companies making new molds based on HasTak characters, or coping molds if they are being used to release characters HasTak won't release, but, copying the molds and releasing them as characters that have been released VERY questionable.

I think that Starscream actually looks really good. Having said that, Thundercracker and Skywarp leave a lot to be desired.

I know this is an old complaint, but they really should have resized these guys to fit in with their PP line.

I already had my Hasbro MP Starscream up for sale, since I hated the colors, the hip kibble, and the backward wing symbols. These three will be bought as soon as TF Source puts up preorders. I'll wait to see the final paint jobs for -T,-D,and -L before I decide what to do with my Takara Skywarp and Thundercracker. I find it hard to believe that they won't match the deco style of the first 4 releases, so we'll see.

Igear Starscream lacks the nice wash on the figure that brings out all the detail in the sculpt. Also without the 'Con sybols. I think Hasbro did these way better in my oppinion. But I could see picking one up if you don't already have them. Problem is, the price. A MISB Skywarp could be found for 50 and under easily. MP Starscream goes for about $90-100. But looks much better. I'll admit I don't like the hip kibble of the Habro releases, but really not an issue. Plus the paint work on Both Hasbo figures is just done so well...Why Pay 100 each for these when you could pay less and get more? I do howeve love the coneheads. I just don't see much of a selling point on these..

I was thinking the same thing. Not that I care for any other reason than I hope it doesn't draw attention to third party companies. I don't want iGear to play with fire and get everyone burnt.

Ditto. They just look so obviously toy-like, which I don't mind, but not for that price.

While I don't support the complete ripoff of Hastak's intellectual property, I do have to admit that I much prefer the fuselage bits being attached to the lower leg rather than hanging off the hips.

I have no idea why that design change was made on the official release.

and Igear sinks ever lower in my eyes with these new KOs. sad really its clear they have the talent to make wholly new stuff but they chose the easy path, the dark side as it were.

See now I paid $100 for my real MP Starscream a couple months ago. I'll be the first to admit I don't give 2 shits if something will look better by becoming a parts-former ( see my TFTM Jazz mods ). Doing mod this would kinda scare the shit out of me since I wouldn't be able to replace the parts easily.

I wish Has/Tak would finish one project before starting another. A whole line of smaller seekers is kind of a bummer, when we never saw the remaining coneheads... or even Thundercracker stateside.

Debating these two new ones just because of the hip kibble issues. Hmmmm.

I definitely would've tried this back when Walmart Skywarp was plentiful. Lower cost, somewhat easier to replace.

Frenzyrumble's mod seems to be the easiest. I might try that (without removing the tail fin portion) whenever I get up the motivation to doing it

    Easy PASS on this junk.

I own the Officially Licensed HAS/TAK Versions.

And I prefer them without the ridiculous mods.

IMO iGear is doing the original designer of this toy a great dishonor by stealing his design and trying to call it their own because of a mod or 2.
