    IG TF005 Prototype Released

Saw this on iGear's Facebook page. For those who don't have FB, I'll work on mirroring the pics. Mods, if this is old news, lock this thread.

^ A little, but since they're (supposedly) the mini/troop building versions I don't mind as much.

Besides, you could always pose one sideways underneath Grimlock's foot and that would explain the squished face. :)

Compared to the g1 toy, yes. Compared to the cartoon, no.

Looks more like an angry chihuahua with the little mouth and bulging eyes.
I'd rather see an updated Sharkticon than a rehash of the (very) 80's design.

Hmm, not as good as I was hoping. If it looks good with MP8 though....

I LOVE the "very 80s design" of the original. Cute, round, chubby and all Floro Deryish is everything I want in a Sharkticon. This loses a little for me by being a bit more barrel chested than fat, but it's still a nice design.

ZacWilliam, if it was cheep as a real retail toy I'd be pretty tempted to army build.

For me at least, the 80's toy fits the bill for me...one of the few things Igear has produced lately that I'm not real interested in.

if the size is appropriate (not too small), consider me VERY interested.

Also if the final released toy looks like this, this has some of the best paint/plastic use I've seen on a 3rd party toy so far (I'm generally as unhappy, or even more unhappy with 3rd party than with hasbro on paint/plastic use- Takara tends to rule here- and it's a biggie for me).

    I'm not too impressed. If it's super-cheap, I'll buy a couple, but otherwise it'll get a pass.

I like the look of the monster mode but there's something off about the robot. Maybe more G1ish colors would help. Don't start worrying about IP infringement now, Igear!

Alt mode okay but the head on the botmode seems pretty off.
