That is a horribly analogy. Generics vs. Name-Brand medications is a completely different scenario than producing KO's. Generic drugs only show up on the market after the patent protection ends.

 

It would be a horrible analogy if all of the anti KO comments were strictly about laws and not about stealing the mold, idea, time investing in creating, etc.

 

Ko or not, its awesome. No one gets mad at kotoys. Why all the hate? Its only a toy. We all just like toys. If igear pisses you off that much, you need a life. its just a toy and that's it. There are bigger things in life.

I love where the wings sit in robot mode. It looks fierce. That has to be the best rendition of thrust. If qc is good, I'm all over this. this will make me buy a generations thrust.

I like it. Great color and the wings don't bother me in the least.

 

I wish Has/Tak was doing this instead. These don't have a nameplate on the stands and who knows what the quality will be like? I know the Has/Tak seekers are fragile, but at least they are legit. These are the same scale and use the same kinds of stands, but they are also missing the missiles that attach to the stands. Not that it's a big deal, but for consistency, I would rather see these made by Has/Tak.

That criteria still doesn't stop it from being a poor analogy. It doesn't fit no matter how you shake a stick at it. The idea, time invested, etc, that goes into drug manufacturing is not being stolen when a generic goes into production.

I think there might be a misconception about what "generic" drugs are that is unfortunately associated with them somehow being knockoffs in some manner when that is not at all the case.

Anyways, slightly derailed discussion.

Yeah all 3 of these will be in my possession! So I guess the logic around here seems to be buy the crappy stuff Hasbro shoves our way cuz its official, but a 3rd party group makes something cool, and somethingthe fandom doesn't yet have, but WANTS, but its a no buy because its not "official"? Is it the same for Reprolabels? Or what about thay Headmasters giftset that just came out?

 

I like it and want to own one.

 

I'm sure there's a better thread for these questions, but

1. Does anyone who has faith leader care to comment on the quality/lack of quality. I would think that would be very indicative of what to expect with these things.

2. Are Igear's preorders easily canceled? (and do they bill immediately or at shipment time)

I have to say I am somewhat tempted. Not positive at all, but tempted for sure.

God people please dont buy this it's takara engineering it's a well made rip off. If you continue to fund iGear they will make more and Hasbro and Takara will basically destroy all the 3rd parties with the mighty sue stick
