I received igear's Hench a few weeks ago from igear but it arrived with no head.

Have sent igear numerous emails and Facebook messages with no response. Does anyone have problems with igear's customer service? Is there a better way to contact them regarding this issue?

Not sure if this thread is in the right place. If not, move it to the correct place.

    Thanks in advance.

Anyone know their address? I may have friends in the area who can pay them a "friendly" visit.

This might be a laughable long shot, but get in contact with BBTS and kindly explain the situation to them. Who knows? They might be well aware of iGear's non-existent customer service. Perhaps they'll be nice enough to give you credit for your defective Hench, which you could then apply toward a replacement from BBTS. Like I said, it's a long shot, but it is the holidays. Also, BBTS does have highly reputable customer service. Their hypothetical willingness to help out might be good publicity.

This is exactly the reason i'm afraid to get the mini warriors from igear themselves, better price but zero help on situations like this.

and i agree with satomi, give bbts a email, see if they are willing to help out. They've been amazing in the past for me and feel free to mention that members of tfw recommended them based on there great customer service.

your best bet is to spam their facebook page or ask a retailer like Robotkingdom or someone if they can help....otherwise....well you've been told already.

If you're still within your 45-day (it may be 60 days, not sure) window of original purchase date, file a complaint with PayPal straight away and open a case against iGear. Do not let iGear dissuade you from this course as they have been reported to string a customer along with empty promises simply to get said customer to go past the 45/60-day limit. Do not close the PayPal case against iGear until you get either a full refund or a new head (or brand new figure) in your possession first. I guarantee you that going through PayPal will get iGear's attention. Hope this helps.

Wow, this story offends me. Every company should have some kind of customer service, and the fact that they pull the kind of shit they do to get you past that magic 45/60 day mark makes me wonder if I should give them my business at all. I was interested in picking up the new minibots too....

And folks in the other thread wonder why many don't want to buy directly from IGear.:peoples:

Yup, not worth my time for a couple dollar savings. BBTS always treats me well (I think I have had two faulty figs, and they send out replacements in a day). People may bash BBTS, but they always come through for me. Hope you get a response at some point.

^THIS. Paypal disputes get results when talking and unanswered email requests won't. Even if they manage to send you a replacement, DO NO CLOSE THE CASE UNTIL YOU RECEIVE IT AND CHECK THINGS OUT.

Also, in the future, go through a proxy (BBTS/TFSource) and never by from iGear directly, even if the shipping is free.

I'm just amazed people continue to support IGear at all. A bad company doesn't deserve to make money.

It amazes me people keep giving business to companies with such terrible customer service period. Igear, TFC Toys, even Fansproject, all suffer from horrible customer service.

I like iGear products and I personally never had a QC or shipping issue with them before but yeah, their communication and lack of customer service does indeed suck. The shady practice of stringing customers past the PayPal protection time limit shouldn't come as too much of a surprise for a company that steals mold designs and infringes IPs so flagrantly, I suppose (and I'm generally a supporter of iGear products just not a fan of their practices). Caveat emptor and all that.

As far as FP goes, FP Core isn't the same thing as FP. FPC is affiliated with A3U (I believe) and just handles the distribution and sales, not the manufacture and release, to be fair. As for TFC, they seem to address QC issues what with the hip ratchet problems with Heavy Labor along with the broken shovels on Exgraver's first run. iGear used to provide replacement parts at no additional cost too but those days are long over.

Their service isn't great but their toys are like wishes come true for a lot of people. If they were making Sonicrons I don't think they would last long.

I got my Brawn and he's fine, my Cosmos, however (and this isn't a big deal, but still), is missing the clear "helmet" piece. Pretty sure BBTS will send me the piece.

thankfully mine came with the head. Love how it's seems bigger than the earlier Mini Warriors (Not Huffer and Not Seaspray)
