Just got this email.

Looks like just a straight up repaint and G1 box at $12 more than the original price. Still better than what he's going for on eBay.
Not really a must-buy for those of us that bit on him the first time, but definitely a good opportunity for those that missed out.


EDIT: Sorry, these aren't anime colors, they're G1 toy colors. If a mod could edit the title that'd be super.

Ditto that. Planning to sell mine now. Just placed an order. It's not just more toy accurate, it even appears closer to the colors of the 'toon.

 

ordered. i like the colors better and hopefully i can still get a good deal for my 1st version. expect a little less than 500 of those to hit ebay soon.

Yes. It is significantly shorter than Hench and UFO (though I still think they look okay together. Totally one man's opinion on that.)

Not really. The first release of this sold out pretty quick and is demanding quite a premium lately. You'd be damn lucky to find a sealed one for $27 shipped. I've seen him closer to $50 or $60.. and he originally retailed for $15! So demand is definitely there. Honestly think it's pretty cool of them to do new colors and a new box rather than just make more. This'll drive the secondary market prices back down for the first release, too, so this is a good deal all around.

And with good reason. He's small but he's a darn fine little figure.

Maybe they're testing the waters for more "toy colors"/G1 boxes type releases. Certainly a bunch of people would want UFO in a darker green.

 

Ordered. I ain't missing out this time and I ain't paying second hand prices. Colours look better too so win!

Also, is it just me, or is that a metallic Spray on the back of the box ala G2 Seaspray?

Hmmm... I like the colors slightly better. But until they upscale the current one to Brawn/Bumblebee I'm not gunna pick it up.
