Mine arrived yesterday - they are seriously fun little figures. Transformations are simple but effective and it is great to have mini-bots with weapons, for a change. They are also not quite as small 'in hand' as some rumours have suggested. Smallish yes, but if you want your mini-bots to be - you know - mini - then it works out pretty well.

Definitely makes the asking price seem (almost) reasonable.

That is a truly great lineup, and those Legends and mini-warrior figures all look great together! :D  Still looking forward to the IGear Cosmos redo, as I feel it will better capture the version of Cosmos that I've always had in my mind's eye, but overall...really cool lineup.

My review for Seaspray, er, Spray is up on the 5-minute Toy Review blog! He's much better than Rager in my opinion but...argh...missing wheels!

/\ Why would he need wheels unless you're actually...playing with him? It's a collectors item.

I would imagine most adult collectors aren't taking their toys outside and rubbing them around on the concrete making WHOOSH sounds like we used to do as kids.

But wouldn't all the 'adult collectors' have more fun if they did?

I play with my toys, roll them around and swoosh them.
    But I still don't need wheels on Spray. He's a boat. ;)

Then why don't they make the tires on all the MPs, Fansprojects, and other 3rdparty stuff part of the side sculpts instead of making them free-rolling separate pieces? I mean it would save a ton on tooling, steel dies, assembly time.

Because any good toy should appease BOTH markets. The children and the collectors. I expect my Transformers collector figures to be durable just like I expect my retail kids-targeted DC/Marvel figures to have collector-quality paint apps.

Why? they're specialty market aimed and geared specifically towards an adult collectors market. It even says over ages 18 on the box.

...hovercraft don't have wheels. At all. Adding wheels would make it LESS accurate.

Adult collectors should not need pointless play wheels to avoid scuffing up the bottom of their figures. These aren't for kids.

Good for a statue, not a transforming TOY. Collectors item or not, it's still a TOY. Just an overpriced one.

Overpriced? They were $15 each which included shipping from Asia, they are some of the best priced 3rd party figures ever at this level of quality.

Here's a question: can iGear or MT Seaspray actually float properly in a sink or bathtub full of water?

Maybe? I doubt it. Not going to try. Good point though, if you're going to complain about something like lost play value due to no wheels, why not complain about how the boat won't float?

I will try tonight and see. Spray feels light enough that I bet he would float. The arms have the right shape for it.

So curiosity got the best of me and I put him in water.

Technically he floats, but not the way you would want him to. The front end barely stays above water but the rear end sinks. Someone could probably make all the little air pockets in him airtight and he might float normally.

Rager finally showed up yesterday from IGear. It's a fun figure, but I wish the cab could compress the head into the chest cavity as a part of the transformation. This would hide the head in vehicle mode, but then his legs would probably need to be longer to compensate. Eh, just rambling now but it's still a great toy. I added an Autobot symbol to the chest and now it looks perfect.

I figured that'd be the case.

NO FLOAT + NO WHEELS = NO BUY.

    (I kid).
