KO Kronoform watches pwn these poor dudes.
Bummer. When I just saw the alt mode I was pretty excited to see what the bot mode would look like buuut it's just a re-shell of the larger KO BB legends figure, no thanks. Too bad they couldn't work with Perfect Effect as far as their tiny body figures go with a VW alt mode
Have to agree with this as it would be the only place I could put this on my shelf except for the fact that I have G1 BB with the re-sculpted cartoon head already
It's going to be interesting to see if this thing goes to production or not with such a negative fan response I think it would be a bad decision myself
Seriously! Geez. I mean I appreciate the VW alt, but what is the point of scaling up an existing design and NOT giving it better articulation than it's legends figure???
...so it's basically a reshell of the Universe legends Bumblebee w/out arm articulation? I'm wondering if I-Gear will make anything that I would want to buy.
The advantage they had with Faith Leader is that they were scaling DOWN an existing very detailed and articulated collectible figure. Details are reduced but still feel tight and appropriate to the new scale.
The problem with scaling up a tiny un-articulated figure is that, similar to scaling up a low-res image in photoshop, there is not sufficient information(detail) to withstand the scaling up. If you look at the edges and forms on this Bumblebee the mold feels a bit ROUNDY, lumpen and soft. Not the crisp INTENTIONAL detail you get when you design something originally for a specific scale. The scaled up head is also soft with not enough detail.
I would love to have a VW BB in scale with G1 or classics with articulation but this is a little embarrasing. The poor paint proto is hurting it as well.
If they resculpt the head, crisp up the mold details, add minimal articulation and a better paint app, I will be interested.
I just think fans who love these characters and this franchise should expect more.
That's pretty disappointing if that's the final product.
I thought it was going to be bigger than that....
boo. Big time potential with the grey shots and then they added those horrible arms.
how long is this gonna go on until iGear gets sued? -_-
That looks abysmal. It's like somebody took some clay and tried making Bumblebee.
I'm very excited about these, they are what Hasbro/Takara Legends/EZ Bee/Cliff should have looked like in the first place.
You need to get over that, because they will never look like that ever again. VW doesn't want their cars used as war toys. Also, Cliffjumper was never a Bug in the first place.
So what it's what ever name you want to make up for 1984 Red Bumblebee then... (just like the WST red Bumblebee) I'd not consider that Cliffjumper either.
So perhaps all the prior Red-Bee's needs a name then Like Bumper eventually got after more than a decade being called Bumble-jumper.
Then it solves the problem
I wish they could find some volume distribution for these then they could get the price down to a sensible level.
Higher volume sale might allow them to make enough to keep making more of them that basically merge a modern Legend with a 1980's alt mode - which would be ideal for many people.
I'd pay £18.00 maybe even 22.00 for a yellow one - I'd not really want to pay £30.00 though - cute as they are. if they were under £12.00 each I'd happily buy Yellow, Red, Black, Clear tinted yellow, Blue, White & Gold coloured ones.
Oh and if you don't want Red Bee to be Cliffjumper then buy the Henkei red one and use that.
P.s. I'd love a Kublewagon version too.
they look good iGear is coming up with some good stuff
I guess these are nice for whoever missed out on the first universe legends BB. lol
$18 for one $30 for the set just got their email.
pre-order is open: ★Bee 01/02 Set(Free Shipping!)
Only $30 for both!
Now that's a reasonable price.
I have no need of a legends BB I have wst.
