Boy, this thread makes me glad I throw boxes away. No offense but...yeow. Some toys are just as great loose & with weapons as they are boxed. (Usually, they're even better because you get to, y'know, transform them. )
You guys should consider the wasted whitespace on some of your shelves, IE: page 3, SKowls' middle shelf. You could put another shelf in there man.
I've long ran out of room on my shelves. When my wife and I put them up, I was hoping to dedicate the bottom shelf to G.I.Joe since my Cobra Terrordrome eats up most of the floor space underneath the shelves. Well, that didn't happen as I needed room to display my e-Hobby collection. I got in Primus the other day too, but have no room to display him as is...I'll have to do some major restructoring of the top shelf in order to get him to fit. Where to put his box is a whole 'nother story! To give you an idea of just how crammed my office is @ home, take a look below: http://photobucket.com/albums/y240/flywheels/Toy%20Office%20Pre%20Reorganized/
oh yea, that's perfect if they ever do a TFC 22, you'd be a bit fudged right now. That's awesome. Look at how there are boxes lined right behind the door, but contures to the door in an open position. Shane Anderson & Liokaiser are screwed too! There's no more room on Big L's shelf, look at Wheelie. This is great.
I don't believe that's yours. Please PM me the exact address and location of that storage locker for confirmation.
I don't even have shelves now, so my toys just kind of sit around... everywhere. Literally. I've got Buzzclaw and his repaint company camped out on my desk, BW figures hiding underneath an enormous pile of clothes (in a container, mind you), Prime staked out with an army of kaiju on the only real shelf in my room at the moment (above a collapsing closet), Waspinator and Scarem reclaiming my own brother's desk in the name of the Predacons... you get the idea.
I rented a storage place and it's filled to the gills. I think it is 8x10 plus I have the stuff stacked about 8 or 9 feet high. I also have a lot of crap in my bedroom and in my cellar. This is part of why I don't buy anything but the TF reissues anymore.
Dude just so you know I'm here for you, and if you ever need some extra space I got a lot of spare space over at my house. Heck I'm so nice I'd even come down there with a U-Haul and help move it for ya
Ah, I guess it's time for me to chime in on this one. I've don't have pics right now, sorry. But, I have one bedroom that is nothing but toys. It's so bad that I recently added shelves across the windows, and papered the windows to keep out light. I have 2 regular closets and 1 walkin closest full of boxes of toys. I have loose bots and 4 of the small rubbermaid totes on my desk. My new recruits are usually on the tv and bookcases (yeah, the off limit to toys ones) in the living room. And I built to shelves that 12 feet wide in our office. Thats at our house. At Mom's, I have a 10x12 building that is about 1/2 toys and collectibles. And now you know why I've become REAL selective about my purchases.
I do not have the problems some of you others do. I do, however have a box problem. I am overflowing in empty boxes. I think I am going to sell some of them on EBAY. I have no place to put them anymore.
And that was my Spring Break mission... To "clean" half the floor in my 10x12 TF room. Who cares if I had to start boxing more figures and generating taller and taller stacks in order to uncover half the floor? Better to be able to actually walk into the room than to only be able to peek inside. By year's end, there'll be nothing additional shelves or taller bookcases will be able to do to give me the space I need. I'll just see what it takes to get my girlfriend to give me the ok to have a 30x30 TF room in our next house... If only Transformers came in smaller, easier-to-store packaging...
