This thread is meant for those who:

    - are out of shelf space
    - are out of wall space for more shelves
    - are out of floor space for bookcases
    - stack boxes like the most expensive game of tetris ... ever.
    - consider the floor as a really low shelf
    - started putting toys in the underwear and sock drawer
    - have toys infesting other rooms in the house
    - have no idea where you're pre-orders are going to fit.

Sign in, share your story, post a picture ... and understand, there are many, just like you. [IMG]

Thanks to a small door in my closet that leads to the inside of the roof (kinda like attic) I was able to store 4 large bags of toys inside and save a lot of space. However it's a pain to find things that are inside since I have boxes, plastic storage drawers, and other stuff blocking the door. My shelves are all filled and the space under my bed has no vacancy either. I am going to reorganize the closet again today or sometime this week. Cybertron, ML, and S6 are taking up huge amount of space since I don't take any of them out of packaging yet. I will have to take all the MLs out of their cards or I'll really be in trouble when Neo/Classic line comes out.

Not a bad idea. Prepare yourself.... FOR EVERYTHING IN THE FRIDGE!

    *ahem*

My story begins a long time ago in the mystical age of 1996. Beast Wars had just been released and my Mom bought me a Terrorsaur and then I was hooked. Next to be added to my collection was Blackarachnia and Optimus Primal, followed by Airazor and Scorponok. At this stage in my life I never really kept anything in my closet aside from clothes and my intergalactic space cruiser. So, when I wasn't playing with my toys (I used to make these paper lab consoles for Blackarachnia) I'd keep them standing up on the top shelf. Then the Transmetals came out and it was around here that I started going into uber collecting mode. Every BW toy (and I mean EVERY single one) I got MISB and if I wanted to play with it, I bought a second and opened that. Storage wasn't much of an issue then. I'd keep all my carded stuff stacked neatly on the floor. BM hit and pretty much the same thing, along with the first reissues and some misc Japanese stuff. However, RiD was when things started to get complicated. My stacks and stacks of sealed TFs began to spill in organized stacks out of my closet until they composed around three or four square feet outside my closet. It was at this point that I transfered 62 carded BW toys to the top shelf of the linen closet outside my door, and put some of my boxed stuff on the second shelf. This held for a while, but when Armada started hitting shelves, I knew I was in trouble in terms of storage. Fortunately, my dad had bought, for some reason or another, an extensive quantity of large rubbermaid bins. And now, ten years after I started collecting TFs, I have 25 giant rubbermaid containers scattered in obscure corners of my house. I have a bunch in my closet, on long one on the floor in the linen closet, four downstairs in the basement, fifteen in my Mom's room (in her closet, under her desk, stacked up in the corner) and bits and pieces scattered over the house. Well, fortunatly ALL my storage issues have been solved. My bro moved out to go to university a few years ago and my dad subsequently took over the room so he could be smelly and watch hours upon hours of TV. (do I have a bad relationship with my father... ho yeah). But, I kicked my dad out of the house last summer for being a lazy bum and being a total dick to everyone, and after we had the locks changed and stored all 25 boxes in there, along with smaller boxes filled with instructions and accessories (and my Master Replica lightsabres).

So, my advice to all is to kick your fathers out of the house and store all of your stuff where he would have kept all his junk. Ain't I a positive role model?

Oh, and one more thing... bro... if you plan on moving back in... I'll get you... that's right... I'll get you... and your little dog too :ev:

I've got a box of BW in the basement, 2 things that slide under beds for my Energon/armada/BM, a box 8 feet behind me for Cybertron, another small box for G1, and a large amount of display space that needs cleaned(no tfs on it)

Too much toy goodness in so little space... I'd probably pass out if I clicked the links. Stupid toy allergy.

And (I'm assuming most of the carded stuff is sealed) I'd probably open all the sealed stuff.

    Free the toys!

this stuff is great. I feel better knowing that others are completely out of space too.

this is 1 wall of 4 (duh)

I have TRU reissues lined up right behind the Primes on the bottom.
The door'ed shelf under Trypticon is filled with boxed and carded G1 items.
I have stuff stacked as high as it will go.

    dooooooh.

Wow, I have somewhat of a space problem as well, but looking at all of your posts...man it looks like I'm walking into a beautiful toy store/warehouse.
