Honestly, I'd like something in a similar vain to the Arkham series of games but with Transformers. Really well realized world and characters with a decent story tying it all together.

Or a hero shooter that's TF based would also be pretty dope.

With this talk about a fighting games and Forged to Fight, I feel like if Hasbro should do an arena fighter, more of the lines like that one Kill la Kill game by Arcsystem Works. Arcsys Could even make the game, and base it on one of the more anime series like Armada, Cybertron (Not Energon), R1D, maybe even Animated. Devastation showed that hyper fighter combat could work for the transformers, so a similar combat system game but with a focus on PvP would be amazing
But who would be in the game?

I think a Wreckers game in the style of ME2’s Suicide Mission would work great.

I've fantasised about a Battlefront style game before now too, trying to get to sleep. Struggle with venues though.
The Arc, space bridge, Cybertron surface, char, Cybertron interior/Iacon, generic earth city, Autobot city (man to live that vicariously from the movie would be dreamy) suppose some of the other planets visited (basing it all on G1)

This is what I had in mind for a MMORPG Transformers game (I was into Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2).

The way I would set out the story would probably in the align contunity but starts as a newly made cybertroian. Technically while you make your skin and colours but probably start looking like a protoforms and doing the starters quests will slowly start to look like your avatar you made in the character creation.
The story will be prelude to the war and when the war does eurupt (when you moved into the main game itself like how in GW prophices, you starts in Ascalon pre seering and then moved to post seering Ascalon), that is when you picked a factions.
Not sure how alt mode would work since I assume people want both car and plane mode? Maybe the story states you are new forms of Transformers that are triple changers?

I imagine gears will be ingame stats boosts and aswell cosmetic like new head molds, accessories (weapons will be the main one) and paintjobs? Heck maybe you can have a pet like a minicon or a head/ target master?

Overall however I know for a fact the game itself won't last long as it's more of a niche idea (die hard fans will loved it)!

I think the class would be like-

Scout aka assassin, rogue or thief (Bumblebee/ Bug Bite)

    Hunter aka warrior/ paladin (Prowl/ Sideswipe/ Seeker)

Brawler aka heavy hitters (Bulkhead/ Blitzwing/ Astrotrain)

    Technican aka support (Perceptor/ Shockwave)

Micromaster aka pet master/ ranger (Blaster/ Soundwave)

You could use Optimus and Megatron to battle the likes of Bomberman, Solid Snake, and Simon Belmont on Devastator's chest plate in DreamMix TV World Fighters. The game was never released outside Japan, but y'know the internet and all.

If I could make a Transformers game, I'd want a character-action game like Devastation that maybe plays a bit like a combination of it and Sonic Frontiers but with a few elements.

First, I'd love if we had what the PS2 Armada game and the movie games had and that's multiple environments to explore at our leisure. You go through these for the main story but on the side you look for collectibles and other goodies like costumes and maybe additional weapons. Nothing like Borderlands or Devastation where it's random loot but rather a fixed selection of weapons that you could further modify and toy with until you find a set that suits your playstyle. Also this is where the Frontiers element comes in because you can tweak some aspects of the controls to what suits you and rather than things being extremely acrobatic like in Devastation (Though I love that gameplay.), there's a little more weight to your movements since you are a Transformer and depending on the character you have, that could work to your benefit or detriment depending on how you like to play.

I'd also incorporate in the story a combination of ideas from the games. I liked how WFC went for a story that started with Decepticons before shifting over to Autobots but I also liked how earlier games gave you separate campaigns so I'd have a story where you could change between them freely. Sometimes switching sides would give you more context for both stories and wouldn't lead to major changes all the time but at key events, changing sides could lead to drastic results like say deciding if a character lives or dies. That way you'd have replay value because you'd want to see the other choices and what kind of ending it would lead to. Think what Web of Shadows, a Spider-Man game did with its choice system where you could do something like do mostly evil things... until the last few choices where you make good decisions and depending on the ratio your ending changes.

The plot would be basically the cartoon's story of fighting to gather resources with aspects of the 86 movie and the Cybertron games mixed in. It'd be highly encouraged while you're an Autobot to be in disguise or at least maintain good relations with the humans (Though notably you will not be forced into something where you have to keep helping people all the time and maybe eventually you can unlock certain benefits like not having the military attack you because you dared to grab a collectible on top of a building and scared the locals that you are free to turn off if you want a challenge.) while as a Decepticon you're encouraged to be deceitful but if you choose to rampage... go nuts. Continuity-wise... it'd be in its own universe and would use Evergreen designs but again, you could change out costumes and the cutscenes would be in-engine and reflect your appearance. For instance, say you're playing as Optimus but instead of the Evergreen design, you want to be the Classics or IDW look. You can make that happen. Also because it wouldn't be too much trouble, you could change colors to a few looks that homage certain takes on the character like say you want to be an SG Prime or even Delta Magnus. Finally, mod support because opening those floodgates would allow for all kinds of cool ideas.

What about an rpg? That could be new and interesting for TF. But do we want it turn based? Or real time?

RPG which starts in the moment when Transformers wake up on the Ark. You create two original characters, one Autobot and one Decepticon, accompanying established heroes with the story being about TFs gaining (at least in Autobot campaign) trust of Earth, now divided between pro-technology and luddite factions. Two player characters might meet several times, concluding by their showdown during coming of Unicron.

I don't have a title but my idea for a Transformers video game is a fighting game, similar to say Forged to Fight only upgraded to the console with tweaks and modifications, maybe something more akin to Dragon Ball Fighterz. The art style would very much be in line with something Transformers Devastation, that very 3d cell shaded kind of look. Finally it would help tie into the whole multiverse kind of thing that's popular right now with the Transformers toyline, the MCU, and the upcoming Flash movie for DC.

So storywise it'd start with the Beast Wars as Megatron uses the Golden Disk to rewrite history so that the Decepticons win only it starts to fracture the spacetime continuum and it sends the Maximals and Predacons blasting through time and space. The story mode would literally start at the beginning of The Revenge of Bruticus as Optimus Primal is sent through the wormhole and is met by G1 Optimus Prime, Prowl, Sideswipe, & Tracks so they are pretty much the main characters. Essentially you're giving an overview world map from Teletran 1 that allows you to hop around to different fights with different difficulties and challenges to complete. The first fight after the intro is against Megatron, Beast Megatron, & Scorponok that would unlock the Decepticon campaign. Essentially you can play through both at any point and see the story play out as you either save the multiverse or rule it. Each mission would unlock a certain Autobot/Maximal and Decepticon/Predacon like for example Rhinox being the next hero you'd unlock after the main five. The game would allow you to play as a certain group of characters from across the franchise.

The fighting style would be like Forged to Fight, you can use ranged weapons like blasters like the ki blasts in Dragon Ball fighting games. You can use Optimus' energon axe, Primal's swords, etc. as melee attacks or just straight up fists. Transforming and use your alt mode in combat and in combo attacks. You'd collect and store energon throughout the fight by dealing blows allowing you to charge up for an ultimate attack.

Outside of story mode you'd have local matches to fight against the bot or with people on the same console with the characters you've unlocked. You can then go online, you can unlock art, cutscenes, maybe even an episode of G1 or Beast Wars, an encyclopedia allowing you to view the profiles of the characters you unlocked. DLC to add more characters would come. This is just the initial idea I came up and something I'd like to look more into and expand.

So whatever I make, I’d want a custom character creator.

I think the easiest way to do this would be to:

    1. pick your alt mode from a wide range of vehicles & animals. Customize paint, decals, license plates, rims, etc etc.

    2. Pick your transformation type. Each alt-mode type would have something like 5-10 transformation schemes to pick from.
10 different ways for a car to transform.
10 different ways for a jet to transform.
    Etc.
Robot body types would be determined by the transformation type you pick, but I think there could still be some room to customize your robot body a bit.

    3. Relevant bits of your alt mode carry over to robot mode, of course.

    4. Customize your robot face & head. Options here would be a lot more extensive. Body types & transformation schemes would have to be fairly limited, but the player should be able to go wild with their TF face.

And that’s about it for now.

An action strategy where you are leading the autobots against the decepticons, which are an enemy kingdom on cybertron trying to invade cyberton.

What about an open-world action RPG-style Transformers game where you can go on an adventure and travel through Cybertron, Earth, and various worlds, as the players go through story guests and get to know more about those worlds with your favorite characters in a tag team party, as the player uses controls their character's different elements and abilities to engage in exploration and combat?

Basically, a Transformers counterpart of Genshin Impact.

I think I might’ve posted on here before, but if I did I kinda remember it being incoherent and not that great of an idea. Though i think I’ve come up with a better one:

Setting: id’d be set on earth (specifically middle Tennessee, because I think it’d be cool to see the ‘Bots and ‘Cons duking it out in my “back yard”) so like let’s say all of Nashville and a few surrounding cities and suburbs, so there could be some diversity in terrain and surroundings (cities, flatlands, mountains, etc) and in the mountains there could be a TFP Style main base where you come to to modify your character and weapons, witch brings me to:

Customization: in this hypothetical “dream game”, we’d have licensed Vehicles, so for character creation there would be a selection screen, where you pick what your alternate mode is, and where certain pieces of said vehicle end up in bot mode. Example:

Alternate mode: 2007 Ford Mustang GT
    Arms: Front Quarter Panels
    Chest: Hood and Headlights
Back: Doors, Taillights and Rear Wing
    Legs: Rear Window and Wheels

And there would also be a large selection of weapons and weapons modifications to choose from, another example:

    Weapon: Neutron Assault Rifle
    First Attachment: P.O.K.E. Bayonet
    Second Attachment: Dot Sight
    Third Attachment: Scope
    Ammo type: Cryogenic

Gamplay: it would be an open world game, where even though there’s a main story line, you could also go off and do kind of whatever you want, with plenty of minigames (namely racing, target practice and some other side story style quests.) the overall experience would be similar to Devastation, but definitely different in the combat system:
More of a Third Person Shooter type game, with Melee Combat elements in there for good measure, but no over the top combos like in Devastation. More “realistic” combat (as realistic as you can get with 2 story alien robots fighting each other.) also I think a day and night cycle could be interesting, where certain events or missions can only be activated at a certain time. there’d also be a stealth mechanic in place, where you basically have to watch out for how many humans see you each day/night, and try to make sure it doesn’t hit a certain level and you get exposed. Or another example is that your alternate mode might be more conspicuous in rural areas whereas in a bigger city like Nashville you’d fit in better (for instance, I was just in Nashville a couple weeks back, and saw a McLaren 720s and no one batted an eye, other than me. Whereas out where I live, farther into the country, something like just a Porsche 911 can turn heads)

Story: this is admittedly the one place where I’ve faltered. I haven’t had much in the way of ideas when it comes to a plot. Other than itd focus on a new crew (of probably 5 or 6 Autobots) as the main characters, with some old favorites making cameos, and being playable characters once you finish the main campaign. The main villains would also be new, and about the only things I’ve come up with are the character names, Alternate Modes, and bios of the new ‘Bots and ‘Cons. Anyway, to save you, the reader, your sanity, I’ll stop talking now and let you have some time to think. Hope you enjoyed my ramblings.

I've always had problems picturing a perfect Transformers game due to the fact that the games either go full shooter like the Cybertron games, or full melee like Devastation or the 2007 game, meaning you either get to use the iconic guns like Megatron's fusion cannon, or the melee weapons like Optimus' axe, but never an equilibrium between the two.
But just today i was playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance with a team composed that included Cyclops, a hero who's power is range based, and Wolverine, obviously melee based, so it ocurred to me that you could forget the obvious gameplay choices and make an rpg similar to that.
I doubt this would be the perfect Transformers game, but imagine that instead of having to choose what autobot to play as, you get to choose a whole ass team with whatever autobot you want, being able to change between characters mid-gameplay.
