I think we can agree the Prime line has been one of the most frustrating lines to collect in the last 3 or 4 years. Having said that, if you could go back and change history, what would you change?

1- Less BB in FE and PRiD (I think this fits all lines)
2- Get rid of the hollow limbs for PRiD figures
3- Release FE figures when they were supposed to be released, not over 1+ years later
4- Keep the PRiD transformations (easier) with the FE asthetic (FE's tend to look nicer)
5- Don't make the collectors have to import figures to complete the line (Jet Vehicon, Unicron and Breakdown)
6- Make the Deluxes actual deluxe size and the voyagers actual voyager sizes.  
7- Airachnid (I would even change her damn spelling!)
8- Better paint apps (if we lived in lala land)
9- I hate how on the PRiD figures you see the inside of the panel when transformed. (Dreadwing's and Arcee's wings)
10- NO POWERIZER WEAPONS!!!! ARGH

I think that does it for me.

Also, as much as this line pisses me off, I still like it, I tried to sell it, but now I am just going to complete it.

Not sure I will stick with it once Beast Hunters comes out though.

BTW, who wants to bet Predaking kills off Optimus Prime in the series? Now how soon into Season 3 does this happen?

I'd do only FEs for characters that got them, then do the RIDs-and characters would onlyget one toy apiece, aside from Weaponizers. none of this "two BBs, two bulks" etc except maybe the Vehicons and Arcee. Redesign Airachnid, and give Smokescreen and the Insecticons molds before someone like Ultra Magnus-unless he appears in-show

Also make Breakdown available to the us-he doesnt fit the present price points? Have him be a special thing, like the really long-boxed deluxe movie Optimus Prime with a trailer.

 

Well, yeah, they should have just not done those things. I mean, it's not like they did it for a reason, right?  

 

At this point, just give us a Voyager Hardshell/Insecticon figure, Hasbro, and we cool. We've all heard the hollow/small/cheap-plastic/no-paint-apps/light-up-mechtech-gimmick arguments about the line.

 

Well, let's assume this was all done to save money. Then I look at these dumb guns on the powerizer figures. How much are those stupid batteries adding to the cost of each figure? Then these deluxes all seem to come with a free DVD with one episode on there. Who cares? If you like the show, it's not like you can get it, if you don't have the HUB!

Couldn't they just trade off the cost of batteries/DVDs for the cost of producing better figures?

 

Do not add already release characters in new waves.

Expand the line with non show characters, like Hound, Warpath, Blitzwing, Lugnut, Lockdown, Prowl, ect.

Produce a better Smokescreen and bring on Hardshell.

Fire the idiot that came up with deluxe Airachnid.

Release the normal and silver Jet Vehicon and Breakdown in the states.

 

Airachnid would have been better, Breakdown would have gotten a US release, and Vehicons would be the majority of the cases (hear that, Hasbro, more Vehicons), powerizer weapons would lock in place, Unicron would be out as well as Ironhide

A deluxe Breakdown. Everything else the exact same.

Also PRiD Prime is taller than classics Prime.

 

If I don't have to care about all the budget, production, and marketing technicalities?

-Make FE and PRID one line so I don't repeat characters and so FE will get more distribution.
-Everything is a consistent size with some effort at show (robot mode) scale
-FE Vehicon and Arcee don't exist, only their PRID versions do. Vice versa for the rest of the FE characters.
-BYE BYE stupid Powerizer gimmick!
-Ratchet is now a voyager with a similar size to AM Breakdown
-Put less Bumblebee in cases in exchange for more Vehicons
-Instead of these random assed characters and redecos they made up, put in characters actually from the show we never got yet in NA (hello Breakdown, Jet Vehicon, Insecticon, and Unicron!)
-Ironhide is released in NA instead of Kup
-MAKE AIRACHNID A LESS FRIGGIN STUPID TOY

Release a Frenzy and Nemesis Prime

Make Airachnid not suck

Make Ratchet a voyager

Remove the Mech-Tech weapons

Release a Breakdown and Jet Vehicon

Get rid of Shadow Strike Bumblebee

 

Less gimmiks (like light up guns and pop out heads) and more detail!

 

1-Reintroduce a Scout or Basic class line. Include Arcee there, as well as a motorcycle-Vehicon. Could also release human characters with transforming weapons/armor. Maybe include a way to intergrate them into their partners

2-At the deluxe class, big push towards the FE style transformations. Weapons intergrated better into vehicle mode. BB and Cliff wouldn't get new molds, Starscream would get re-released with new, more accurate head.

3-No OP or Megatron voyagers. Airachnid and Ratchet get voyagers, with Airachnid being a triple changer. Voyager class Hardshell. Breakdown would be released this year. Hold off on Ultra Magnus and Thundertron for now. Whenever reasonable, weapons intergrated into arms as a flip out gimmick.

4-No Weaponizers, replace with Leader class. Optimus Prime, Megatron and Unicron. Optimus a little smaller than the other two but come with a trailer. Trailer holds additional weapons/vehicles. Unicron wouldn't become armor.

 

My only thing is more characters, even if they're redecos. Bee/Hot Shot was great, it needs to expand more, but Bee did NOT need a stealth version of himself. Bring in Tailgate from Cliffjumper, Blaster from Soundwave, Tracks from Wheeljack, Drag Strip from Knock Out, etc.

 

Having played with my PRiD/FE figures today, I do have to say, it would have been amazing if Ratchet was made in Voyager scale.

 

I would of sacked the guy on the spot for introducing those Prime Beast toys for 2013.

 

Personally that is the begining of the end.

It is on par with:

- Season 3 of G1
- The shift between Beast Wars to Beast Machines (this time only backwards)

I would change them from looking like Animated movie characters. Instead I woulda made them look like G1 updates...and the knobs would all call them CHUGRUP figs!
