Yes. Like New Age Grimlock. And without chrome.

I would only buy if they combined into Volcanicus.

Currently, I'm more interested in the Cang-Toys Shuraking even though it has more stylized look.

No. Newage Ymir is an amazing mold withs lots of great repaints, but the cartoon version looks like shit, because the G1 Dinobot animation models are shit.

Someone photoshop Newage’s Grimlock next to MP44. That’s what a toon accurate Dinobot would look like.

Something closer to NA Dinobots but in MP scale and with the features you usually see in MP figures.

CangToys' Dinobots are what I really want though...

OCDchad coming in like a meteorite (radahn style) to explain why this is heretical to the church of Floro Dery.

And also rant about how energon grimlock is a better rendition of the g1 character then the Studio series verison.

I'll stick with the gigapower set, I really don't want to buy another set. They look a tad out of place in my collection in all their chrome glory, but I love them.

At this point I'll buy any MP dinobots with good ankle/feet articulation. I passed on FT and GP because they mostly have the same "massive-triangles" for feet that make good poses impossible.

No. Grimlock was one of the few S1 figures I owned back in the day and I absolutely adored his chrome and clear parts so for me that will always be his and the other dinos' "true" look. I have the chrome version of the GP dinos and I love them. That said, I would eagerly watch as everybody else bought the toon dinos and posted their pics and I would even drool a little. But the dinos are too big and too expensive for me to be even tempted to double dip.

I love dinosaur. I like vintage dinosaur art. I like robot dinosaurs. However, the g1 toy dinobots are definitely on the side of "dinosaurs were incestal lazy incel brainless hasbins from a bygone era that were waiting to die so the giga chad mammals could take over the earth" then the "wacky, trying to make sense or these weird ancient beast" that that the toys were going for. I do prefer snarl's cartoon cuteness over the hideous humpback of the toy verison.

The only one I would be interested with cartoon style would be sludge because his brontosaurus excelus alt mode has ironically aged much better then any of cartoon dinobots have because the silhouette of a sauropod hasn't changed much since then and being a robot sauropod means doesn't have the wrong scale type, etc. I also like my sauropods BIG.

I would have to actually see them before I could decide. If I felt like they look good I would buy them, if I don't I wouldn't. I'm not overly concerned about animation accuracy.

Got two sets of each Dino from Gigapower, except Gutter/Snarl...only have the chrome version of him so far.

Metallic Grassor looks toonish enough. But I still prefer the chrome look and clear plastic parts, because of the nostalgia I have with the vintage toys.

I love the cartoon just as much as the next fan, I just don't see why that means we have to sacrifice chrome, for dull grey *see FansToys Jive's gun* .

All I know is, I am super greatfull Gigapower did the dinos the way I want.

Super7 Ultimates Grimlock, that's what it should look like, but does not Transform.
I'm sure they will make a Grimlock in bot mode. Not for me, but it does look cartoon accurate.

No. I don’t generally like the toon aesthetic— at least compared to other options— and think Dinobot figures look particularly bad when done in an animation style. However, aesthetics are subjective, and some collectors want nothing but.

It would very much depend on how they actually looked and who made them.

The only company I've seen express an interest in making toon MP Dinobots is XTB and if they did them I'd definitely have to wait until they were in other people's hands before thinking about buying.

I would 110% be in on a good set of cartoon-accurate Dino's. Rich glossy yellows, blues and reds, and several shades of light, and medium grey. No chrome, no gold, NO TRANSPARENT! Cleaner bots modes with the right amount of greebles but not too many. Kind of a cross between the MFT toon version, NA Grimlock and FT's .
A bit like the LEK customs, without the cell-shading & panel-lining*:

    So good.

I would settle for toon repaints of FT's Dino's, without all the crappy toy influences.
I'm still not really sure why that hasn't happened. We had G1, G2, Metallic... multiple versions that sold pretty well. With the current toon trend it seems like a no-brainer to re-release their Dino's with toon paint.

But one of these skilled new designers like the TE/DS/Star guy could really blow people away with a new design.

*I did say LEK's style without the cell-shading and panel-lining. But, cards on the table, if I do ever win the lottery, I would definitely consider getting my entire MP collection custom painted in the full cell-shaded toon style. It looks freaking amazing and a complete collectiuon like that would make me giddy.

I just want Dinobots that have good looking robot modes. I like both the FT he Giga dino modes but the bot modes are just giant blocky forms. Enough time has passed, a redesign could make a huge difference. Or a new design. As long as it’s built well, I don’t need to to be slavishly accurate to anything.
