Title pretty much says it all. I was trying to think of the next event that Takara would reveal upcoming toys but came up blank. Of course, it could be leaked/revealed randomly too. I'm trying to decide if I should get the Hasbro version and/or start working on a custom leozack/jallguar.

Any thoughts?

 

I would definitely wait to see if Takara does it just in case they use an actual jet mold for the core bot instead of a dinosaur-shuttle. =P

In otherwords re-tool Silverbolt, again. There's only 4 combiners torsos, only one of which is a jet don't forget.

 

It's hard to tell. If they're going to do a new torso, they may take a few easier sets in between to work on it. I would expect maybe one more after Baldigus? It'll be a bit.

 

I suspect that either Liokaiser is next, or we're going to see one more before it.

 

If there is another UW release, history suggests the tease would come in early January (just before Megatronia gets released). Baldigus was teased the same month as Lynx Master came out, Megatronia was teased when Bruticus came out - not sure if that pattern continues earlier.

 

They'd proabably use silverbolt as tge torso, and include Jallguar and Deathcobra as alternate limbs

 

I'd be happy enough with that. But two bot torso has my preference offcourse.

 

That's what I'm actually hoping for at this point. I'm afraid if they did a two bot torso the individual figures would suffer from needing combiner holes. Though I'm willing to be proven wrong.

 

I definitely agree. I would also love to have the whole team and be able to shift out the extras. Hell, throw in a Deathcobra and this will be my favorite set.

 

Ill play devil's advocate a little and say Liokeiser does not come out until 2018. if you look at this year, Takara released 5 combiner sets. If they were to do the same thing next year, then we already know about 2 of them, so that would make 3 more sets that would be coming out next year. There happens to be 3 combiner names that are being tossed around the rumor mill. Predaking, Abominus and Landcross. It would be easy to retool a Predaking into an Abominus but what about Landcross? At first I thought perhaps Landcross would just be some repaints thrown together but what if Landcross was the beginning of a new 6 figure combiner group, a group that could include Liokieser, Seacons, Monstructor, Dinoking and the rest of all those micro-combiner teams.

 

Early 2017.

 

To have a DEATHCOBRA figure period would just plain rock .

 

We need Liokaiser's Breast weapon Animal partners as well...  

 

I suspect we'll see whatever the next UW set is when Megatronia comes out. and I reckon the next set will be an Autobot.

as for Liokaiser himself. I suspect Silverbolt is gonna get retooled into Leozack. by shortening the nosecone and lengthening the wings, along with a new combiner chest and pair of heads. Takara will then use the 4 limbs hasbro gave us. and Jallugar will get left in the cold again.

we'll probably see Jallugar(black swindle) and Deathcobra(green vortex) come out later on as tokyo toy show/Ehobby/million publishing exclusives. and to "justify" their exclusive costs, they'll each come with a Menagerie of Arms Microns

 

I thought I saw UW Liokaiser already, it appears I must have dreamt this. Strange.

I'd be perfectly fine with waiting until 2018 for a LioKaiser if it was a set with all new molds.

 

I do hope to see the two bot torso. As with it done, they use it as a template for Raiden (Trainbots) along with Dinoking / Monstructor.

It is a pity they never consider remaking the three (Road Caeser, Rail Racer/JRX) or four bot (Landfill) combiners yet.

This is not counting the beast combiners (Here's hoping Predaking, Abominus, Piranacon is coming)

Do hope they redevelop the interchangeable limb / weapon mode of Piranacon. They could reuse the idea as Beast Wars Neo characters base.

 

I think the rumors in the mill for Predaking, et al. are all for 2018 (post Titans Return). At least, that's how the math works out if TR is around the same size a line as CW (number of releases per size class, etc).

I'm of the mind that UW is going to be killing time until 2018 when the beast combiners start coming out. So we'll get Liokaiser and possibly two more (maybe RID Autobots and a Unicron Trilogy Decepticon combiner??) from mostly extant molds until UW roars back with new molds in a year or so

 

If you can afford him, I'd just get the Hasbro version and buy the Timelines/Botcon Leozack, who snaps on easily to his back like a cloak. Leozack then won't be disproportionately large compared to the other bots and you get some official form of Deathsarus if you don't have one. But then you're probably spending around $200-$220 anyhow...which in that case, if you can wait, you can see what TT decides to do. I have a gut feeling, though, that Hasbro's run is far more limited than previous CW set offerings, being an Entertainment Earth exclusive. There's a slight chance that, if TT's isn't that much better (or done at all), the window for Hasbro's may start closing quickly.
