Not that I hope ol' Pete doesn't return or anything. I just think that this would make for an interesting conversation.

My vote would be for either Liam Neeson or James Earl Jones.

    Gary Chalk

It should be the only other choice.

If that ever happens Bay will destroy Prime's voice processor. That's what he does.

Just say he went on an important mission or retired or something and have a new, less experienced leader take the reigns here on Earth. We know killing him off is a bad idea, but it'd be annoying for him to suddenly have a different voice, and doing this could freshen things up (more so than same cast with broken voice processors). If he's the Autobot leader, it stands to reason that things might arise that would call him away from Earth.

Me. Seriously, if Cullen couldn't, use what is available, and retire Prime.

Are you Kidding? The "If" aside, why would Cullen not be able to return to voice Optimus Prime? That Ultimate Reason, Associated with Mortality, we will not speak of, not being a Reason as you will be "Painting the Devil on the Wall".

    This.

Were you aware Neeson was the example Bay gave the animators to study for Optimus' body language? Ditto with Michael J. Fox with Bumblebee and Hugo Weaving for Megatron - who wound up himself being cast as the voice. I wouldn't be surprised if Bay was interested in casting him as the voice too before he heard the fans wanted Cullen and concurred, since he actually namechecked him on the DVD.

    Chalk.

Since I started with Beast Wars, he's actually the voice I associated with Prime for the longest time. It took some adjustment to hear Cullen as Prime ^_^

I thought that Cullen sounded like Lance Henriksen most of the time in movie 1.

for some reason i don't think Gary Chalk's voice would work for movie prime. It would be ok, but not awesome. Liam Neeson would be a good choice, but they would have to digitally deepen his voice.
