If Unicron never re-formed Megatron into Galvatron and left for scrap instead. You think Starscream would of finally the new leader of the Decepticons? And you think Unicron would of made a deal with Screamer or he would of chosen somebody to follow his plans.

Starscream was in the middle of his coronation before getting disintegrated by Galvatron. So yes he was going to be leader.

Probably, he did make a deal with Starscream in season 3 after all.

But like always Starscream doesn't keep the end of his bargain once he got what he wanted

It depends on if Unicron purposely went and found Megatron floating in space or just happened upon him and thought he'd be useful. If we say it was chance and he'd not encountered Megatron would he have even bothered with sending someone after the Matrix? If Unicron really needed a herald then probably he'd have used one of the captured beings already inside himself rather than Starscream.
If he's gonna travel to Cybertron to engage the services of Starscream then he may as well just go ahead eat the planet while he's there and knows the Matrix is still on Earth, which it was when he munched the moons.
Titting about with Megatron/Galvatron and waiting for the Matrix to be destroyed before noshing Cybertron was Unicron's big mistake.

Shockwave's logic would've deemed a Screamer in a position of leadership to be a threat to the Decepticon cause; he'd have taken Screamer out and assumed leadership instead.

People would have rethought their evaluation of Soundwave's cruzimaticness and eventually he'd have been made leader.

Whether this was before or after Unicron ate Cybertron, who knows. It's entirely possible the Decepticon power struggle would have had no impact on Rodimus getting to Cybertron, getting the matrix, and exploding Unicron, though, and the absence of Galvatron may have made those events even easier.

Yes. Either way, Starscream would have been leader for the rest of his life. Then it would have been just a matter of who wanted to be next and how soon Starscream turned his back to him.

:lol  I guess Unicron had already filled up on bread, and didn't have any room left for Cybertron.

Having Starscream as the leader of the Decepticons is definitely one way that the third season could've gone. His toy was still shown as being a part of the 1986 line.

Wasn't Shockwave already in command on Cybertron?
I'm pretty sure the moment the Decepticons under Starscream's lead returned to Cybertron Shockwave would've taken position of Supreme Leader.

Coronation didn't take place on Cybertron, I don't think.
And he was kinda sorta dead after Unicron made it to Cybertron.

Except of course in the cartoon Starscream was more powerful and could slap down shockwave without any trouble at all, I know comic shockwave was badass but in the show he was just a little bitch really so no way he could have taken screamer.

The Decepticons would have attacked Unicron much sooner. As soon as he ate the moon, they would have attacked. Galavtron being there was the only reaon they went to Earth instead of going after Unicron

No matter what, Starscream will never be a permanent leader for Decepticon because he is created in such a way that he is always second fiddle to the Leader of a Decepticon.

What would make you think that the coronation scene was anywhere but Cyberton?
