Since Jetfire is broken physically, I think he should get a traditional U.S fighter mode, like G1 colors. Then, the colors would fit better with Prime. Maybe I could be right, post your reply here, no offense taken considering I lost my sanity a long time ago.
If he rescans it wont help him. Look at Ironhide's left optic when you see him for the first time in TF1. It's preety busted up, and he had just scaned a new form. Ratchet can fix him up.

Eh, I personally don't see him reformatting at all when he switches sides. It's even less likely that he'll changed his main color to white. I wouldn't be surprised if his toys got G1 inspired repaints, but I just don't see them trying to pass off a white Blackbird as something in the actual movie. The biggest changes I see happening to him when he swaps sides is a new logo, and maybe some repairs to fix him up a bit, but other than that I don't see him changing.
I think the hunched over-ness of him is just part of his bot-mode design. Or even more likely, he probably isn't that hunched over, and it's just the legends simplicity making his design look worse than how it actually looks. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised if Ratchet took some time to fix him up a bit.
Get over it he will not reformat!! Do U think hasbro will make one Jetfire blackbird D-con and then another one autobot with an all new look... hum..that would be useless and confusing..
Ah, and remember the toy combines with Prime in his Blackbird mode so NO HE WILL NOT REFORMAT damn it!!!
