Yeah I'm hoping for something that looks like a cross between the Matrix and Giger's art for the original Alien but it needs to have some elements of the G1 versions man it'd be a double standard on our part otherwise.
I was always thought their G1 design was poor. Other than the turning heads which was only a gimmick for the mock trial of hot rod & Kup. This is one G1 design i wont mind bay total starting over with

Yep - I've often said they should be Matrix-style robo-squids, with a chewy organic centre like Daleks have.
We know Bay and ILM like their tentacles, so there's definitely going to be some of them involved, they won't be able to resist. I hope the heads are like a holographic projection that keeps flickering in between faces.
What If Lockdown's 'minions' we've seen in the TV spot 'villain' are the movie style Quints? I think they look freaky enough!
Could be cool. And maybe when a Quint gets really angry their holo-face flares out into a spread of all five iconic faces at once in a little homage to the originals. Or it could be that each Quint body is controlled by five operators and each face represents each operator. However, imagine Optimus' confusion and then disappointment as he tries to take a holo-face and his hand or weapon just passes through it. "Give me your f- Awwwww!"
