It's a matter of perspective, my dude. A toy being delayed a while sucks, sure, whatever. But the reason why it got delayed is far, far worse. Like, hell dude I had 3 items this month alone get delayed due to pandemic related logistics issues. It's annoying. But it's important to keep perspective. It's just a toy, it will come eventually.

 

To be fair, I think it was more than covid that delayed Soundwave, since there have been a bunch of figures that were announced after Soundwave that have already been released.

 

The factory shutdowns from covid seem to have royally screwed up their entire schedule and they've been working to get things out as they can, as far as I can tell.

I think @DashCourageous was referring more to the fact that because the delay was 2 years he's upset he lost his money and his figure by preordering on ebay. Not that he was mad there was a delay caused by ppl dying.

Anyways love this phantom, blends in pretty good amongst my g1s until MS tackles mirage but will stay in my collection afterwards. Thinking about picking up the stealth version as well.

 

I noticed something a bit odd with regard to what Iron Factory makes and doesn't make.
They like the "seeker" repaints loads.
But they don't seem to think about repaints for some of their other moulds.

So for example they made Exhaust but not Slicer from their Wheeljack mould.
They made a Jazz but didn't use that mould to make someone else like Richochet/Stepper or someone like Jackpot or Kickoff - or even Shockwave no G2 Jazz either.
Mirage has a few potential repaints that has not seemed to be jumped on yet.
Hound would be a shoe in for Detritus.
No sign of Cordon or Spin out yet.
or various other Sideswipe repaints.
No SG Drift as yet

I would also think a simplified release of Scourge would make sense too. as the existing release arguably works better as "Sweeps" anyway.
Perhaps a 2 pack with an alternative colour Cyclonus would be a good idea ?

I would hope they revist Blaster as a character too so that there is something to complement Soundwave. Also I think we could do with another Optimus or two as well.

I think I know what would really suit their house style - "Armada Optimus Prime".

I do also think that their might want to make a gift set of the IDW decepticon combiner too.
But in general I think mixing in some reissues is a good idea when they can as the line attacks new people all the time and I'm sure a lot of new collectors would like a 'second chance' on some of the stuff.



Oh and here is an idea for a character for them... "Shadow Striker" I think she'd fit in well.

I'm rearranging my collection and put a shelf for an action seen with some of my older if figures. I think it turned out great! Gotta get some lights and get better at taking photos but oh well. Would have added the pocket toys bruticus to this scene but its too floppy and not possible really at all (at least by me)
