I'm not a g1 slave or anything, honestly I happened onto iron factor by accident and know very little of the idw comics. I just like the stylized designs as an aesthetic. And I'm just not in love with this cyclonus. The alt mode is eh, and the robot mode just isn't quite what I'm interested in. Knowing that the skirt comes off though helps, that was my biggest dislike about the robot mode. But yeah, long story short I'm not IDW accurate, I just like stylized designs, be it IDW, unicron triogy, war/fall of Cybertron, etc

Aliexpress. It’s actually cheaper than any other place that I use (including showz, Robotoybase, robotkingdom) because of the shipping cost. Just search IF ex- and it should pop up.
The down side is that shipping time might take a bit longer than other places, but it’s fairly reliable.

Without the skirt it look great IMO. Cyclonus has always being a slim Jim of a character, and the skirt just throw things a bit off. I get the samurai aspect of things, and get the IDW aesthetic of things, but hey it’s your toy you can do whatever you want with it.
My take when it comes to Iron Factory figures…Buy it now, sort it out later lol.

This guy is pretty cool looking. His shoulder pads are bit annoying tho; easily pops off and hard to put back in. I did find that once off, his shoulder/arm articulation is much better as it is not in the way.

Other than shoulder pad awkwardness, this guy has become my Galvatron of choice. I’m glad I never bought Newages (I bought Straxus instead.)

    .

Really, I’m still looking for Perceptor to complete the set. PM me to let me know what other IF figures you want to get rid of.

The Muramasa that I got on Ebay showed up today. There's a lot of style in that sculpt, but it does seem to suffer a bit on the articulation front. I think I'm going to shock oil his joints to limber him up a bit. Would be nice to find a copy of Drift to go with him.

Edit: Lord Scorpion showed up the next day. I like this figure honestly a bit more than I expected to, but he's unfortunately missing one if the silver pieces that tabs onto his legs. Hopefully I can find someone with a junker that could offload the piece.

Patiently hoping TCP gets Cyclonus in stock so I can purchase him alongside a few others in my cart…

Also y’all think IF will unveil new figures for the upcoming year at TFCon, or just updates on the figures that haven’t been released yet?

IF usually reveals a few bots at that october show. then any remaining stragglers or protos that were shown are revealed in color along with the special con fig at SGC.

also, if it were me i would just by my IF figs from @ToyDojo. they are simply the best around and if anything ever happens they will take care of you asap and out of their own stock.

you wont get months of BS excuses from them.

So my Taobao order that included my DJD figures showed up, and I found that the Kaon/Vos set came with replacement shoulders for Tarn. What's the deal there? My Tarn seems okay, but is there something I should look out for with him?

If I remember right, the first run of Tarn had some common issue of breakage, so IF included some replacement pieces with all some of the other DJD members. Later runs were fine though, so they're just there as a nice bonus "just in case" I suppose :)
