Alright and back to Eris;

With the first two being tanks, is the general concensus that they'll stick with tanks or do people generally feel that they'll eventually have her homage other vehicles?

 

It's been pretty strongly hinted that the next Eris remold will likely be Bludgeon. Not sure what plans there are for this mold beyond that, but I doubt this mold is suited to be anything but a tank. MMC hasn't mentioned anything about Eris appearing again in the line later as a different mold.

IF-02 is going to be Drift, which will feature the hero car from Initial D as his alt mode, and he won't be a genderbend.

Beyond that, MMC designers have talked about multiple designs they've worked on or are working on for the IF line that are in queue for production. Presumably the next after Drift will be Windblade. And they've mentioned they're working on other unnamed fembots for IF as well, but presumably none of those are Eris-spins on other characters.

Yeah I scribbled up a quick Eris Bludgeon while at work.
Maybe once I'm back home early next month, I'll draw up a better "fan art" design for a Eris: Bludgeon.

 

Earlier in the thread some people were talking about ideas for other Erises, but one of the people who work with MMC commented wondering what people were thinking since so many ideas were impossible with the Eris mold. From that I got the impression that as far as he knew it was just tanks (or what they could reasonably get from this mold), but he simply may not have been involved with other molds, or they may not have planned others at the time which may or may not be subject to change depending on the decision makers there.

 

I like it. The new head looks better in my opinion. If price is right I'm in. Gonna keep my eye out on PSX the upcoming weeks.

A Bludgeon version with a skull face and a nice katana or two to offset Windblade's Stormfall Sword would be hard to pass on (for me).

Do I want a Nautica, yes, do I want it from this mold turning into a tank, even a water based tank, no. Nautica should get her own mold that later can be remolded into Unicron Trilogy Thunderblast.

If MMC needs more ideas for female Decepticons, not Eris remolds, in the Reformatted or IF line think

I’m STILL waiting for them in Generations. Flamewar especially since easy repaint of Legacy Prime Arcee.

As for Eris I’m definitely interested and do want it. I even have an idea for her to be the Hexadecimal (season 3/4) to Cybertron Galvatron’s Megabyte

 

I was fence sitting before, but now I am almost definitely into this.

Besides the very clear improvements in sculpt, I also think the colors have a much better contrast. The teal and orange on the head and the less saturated and more matte green & purple on the limbs looks a lot better to me.

Dunno if Bludgeon would do much for me, but maybe Bonzaitron’s deco might do it.

Most of all, I’d really love to see Boss Penguin green light an Eris version of The Fallen and—what the frag—why not War Within Grimlock as well so we can have a bit of dueling Erises!  

Hell, I’d even buy those two together as a two pack!  

Also, FWIW, I have Eris KA on preorder, and I’m definitely appreciating the refinement between her colors and the original, too.

Eris’ original head seems inspired by Esmeral from Transformers Victory, so, at some point, I’d like to see Boss Penguin give Eris’ beastly mitts a fitting beast mode, namely the transformation scheme for Ripclaw, Ser-ket, and Bakudora would be a fitting dragon spouse for D-Zef.

I also imagine they can just reuse the head and hands and swap literally everything else out if they wanted to make an Esmeral down the line.

 

I might prefer the colors of Banzai-tron over the colors of Bludgeon but Bludgeon would make her stand out more between Tarn and Armada Megatron's color.

And the most important part, I want the skull head...and a Havoc staff...sorry other franchise

Dunno if Galvatron is one of the two other planned remolds, but this seems like it could really work, especially if there could be remolding done on Eris's legs.

 

Def. falls under "crazy" remolds. I'd buy it.

 

I would love a galvatron toy color deco, as I feel the purple would be too close to Eris:Kultur. A massive single turret cannon surely wouldn’t be too hard to remold.

 

Comparing Eris to Tarn, what I like about her presentation is she hits a lot of visualTarn characteristics but isn't a straight copy.

Some of that is allowances to give working treads, but she also has different thighs and feet's, a thinner waist (which I guess is to help identify her as female, but whatever), no shoulders. cannons.

I think it's a good approach to show she's copying Tarn's form, but also helps make her own being.

 

Technically its possible but it would require some effort. MMC's probably not going to get too nutty, so I wouldn't get your hopes up. Still, I'm going to theory craft here for a second.

Without crazy amounts of retooling and keeping the base design intact you can fudge a Cybertronian truck. Twist the turret legs around and add some leg remolding or partsforming attachment and you get a decent cab.

The two big names that come to mind would be Animated Optimus's Cybertronian Truck mode and War Within/Cybertronian Grimlock. I started a mock up for Animated Prime but I suck so I'll leave the professionals. Hopefully you can sort of see the idea. Give Eris new colors, a rocket axe, a new chest mold, headsculpt and a windshield attachment that collapses into an arm shield and you've got Eris Pexus. I'm sure we could come up with more.

 

I may have to build an Armada Megatron shrine with all these Armada Megatrons that are coming out.

 

I can't explain why, but even as a CHUG size collector - I'm strangely interested in this...

 

This is my overall feeling for what happened to Eris.

 

So... Iron Factory finally doing decent sized fembots? I mean All their previous ones were shorter than their male vehicle equivalents would be, Slipstream being the biggest problem.

Anyway, might get her to have more bigger fembots.

The “IF” in this case stands for Infinite Finity, which is a sub-line of Mastermind Creations, much like Ocular Max, except (MMC/) IF aims for non G1 MP while (MMC/) OM aims for G1 MP.

And, yes, I too find the shell game & cups and balls magic trickery of third party branding to be annoying, confusing, and overly complicated, too~ .^.

Still, I also have Eris KA on preorder and look forward to her arriving sometime next month at the most optimistic.
