Sounds like they're going back all the way down to basics with this one. It's going to look weird after 13 years of... weirdness.

Ooh I’m def down with getting in from the ground up in a new series. The synopsis sounds intriguing as well so I think I’m in.

I\'m going to miss the old series and its going to be odd having just one on going series again, hopefully we\'ll get something that lives up to The best of the old series like MTMTE and last stand of the wreckers.

Sounds fun. Also, glad to see he's not wasting time on adding his own characters to the mythos.

Everyone else has gotten a chance to and we've gotten memorable characters out of it like Aileron, Xaaron, Drift, and the DJD.

Creating new characters makes sense, it's kinda hard to kill off someone who's supposed be be around later

In all fairness, there are so many damn Transformers you could probably stand to kill off a ton and not worry about affecting anything in the slightest. I don't think anyone's going to shed a tear if Stampy takes a fusion cannon to the face.

Yeah. I mean, it'd be great to develop the personality of some of the poor bastards that didn't get much of one (i.e. Action Masters, Micromasters, some of the later Pretenders, etc.) but let's face it - very few people are going to care if they ate a bullet.

Westfield: Will you be introducing any new Transformers robots?

Ruckley: A handful, yes. I’ve got a few possible introductions up my sleeve, but I won’t be rushing into it: only two or three, I think, are likely to show up any time soon, and they’re in there for specific reasons.

    Translation: More toys :ev:

Joking aside, I look forward to seeing them. I liked some of the original characters that were introduced in the previous iteration.

No, no. That's how I read it, too. Which is awesome. Finally, some new characters for us to complain about. I honestly cannot wait for the tidal wave of "WHY IS THIS CHARACTER GETTING A TOY WHEN [Ancient Legacy Character Like 4 People Care About] DOESN'T HAVE ONE?"

I dunno. I didn't really get anything particularly positive or negative from this. Too scant to really get into what I want to know.

Anyone know anything about the people involved?

I'd like to properly set expectations based off of what they've done before - as the last thing we need is to open the new continuity with The Visionaries **shudders**

I can\'t take anyone seriously who uses the phrase \"Transformers Robots\". It just sounds wrong. Like, we\'ve spent the last umpteen number of years trying to distance ourselves from the concept of them being \"robots\", and then this shmuck just tears through all that.

Seriously feels like a racial slur at this point.

You do know we got a cartoon called Robots in Disguise 2 years ago right?

Wanna talk about taking someone serious. You’re trying to make calling transformers robots a racial slur. I might need to go to a doctor for a neck injury from shaking my head so hard at your post.

Racial slur...ease back on the social justice dude.
