    Hard reboot.

Only possibility of the previous continuity is if this is the universe the Lost Light showed up in, which so far is unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Still haven't seen hot rod scourge or galvatron in this continuity.

I really do hope scourge turns up as he has been treated fairly poorly by idw. He just vanished in idw1 and was forgotten about.

Yeah, I was predicting that whenever they get to late and/or post war in this continuity, you'll probably see the copy Lost Light show up.

Complete hard reboot. Wheeljack and Hound are shown here on Cybertron. Escape centers around them (and Nautica and Hoist and others) trying to evacuate the alien population of Cybertron before they become collateral damage.

That cover with Mcfly soloing in front of the Autobot is pretty nicely drawn, though I don't think the perspective works (unless the bots here are a lot smaller than usual). Not that I have room to talk, perspective is one of my weak points when it comes to my doodles.

So... Marty is thirty foot tall in this comic? I mean, yeah, foreground but he isn't three inches from Bumblebee.

And why is Bumblebee taller than Brawn?

It’s the floor paneling. The floor panel lines should be foreshortened to heck. There should also be hyper detailing, thicker lines and heavier shadows on Marty while diluting detail and using thinner lines on the background’s Autobots as well as Doc and Einstein. It’s about the Illusion Of Depth.

I dunno who is writing this comic, but based on the Terminator and Ghostbusters crossovers I am really uninterested in their Back to the Future one.
I find myself reading older comics, usually the 1980-90 era, far more these days. I been denied a lot of those (iron curtain and all that) in my childhood, and while I of course read the TF and some of the more famous ones like Batman or X-Men or Titans, there is a lot more of quality material there... And unlike these days, they were not written for trade, nor were they full of political pandering and shoddy digital copy-paste art. So I am at least content that even if no good TF comics ever get written again, I have the past to go back to.
Ah that was when Kim Jong Un employed them to guard his borders? Man that comic aged poorly.
Despite the terrible art, that Micromaster comic had some good ideas. Do wish we could get to see these characters done interestingly again.

I gotta wonder, wouldn't he still be made of brick and mortar still? And where did all the weapons go when in alt mode? Guess nobody working in the building noticed the giant cannons in the attic. :D

I had the original 4 issue limited series and must say, I wish today\'s writers had the same style and depth as the older ones  did, of the crews of the old Transformers source books, with their bios and pics in each.
Today it seems like everyone is trying to either rewrite the transformers\' \"come to earth\" story; un-deify Primus; create new backgrounds for OP/Megs and what started the war; flagship some LGBT message (which, I honestly feel The Transforners is just the wrong medium for, with tons of reasons that also make other universes better walls upon which to paint that mural;, TO SELL TOYS; to give Con promoters new repaints, and 3P\'s new characters, to make too few of and for scalpers to make $$$ (see previous); and to break the essential good vs evil struggle that is the cybertronian civil war down into new frames of reference that turn Autobots into the evil bastards and decepticons into the poor old good guys.
Keep your politics out of my trukormunky please.

There\'s a literal universe of background and setup from the pre-established canon, that has been left with ends untied and \"I\"s dotless.  No need to hop into movie crossovers and spin new half-axled tales, when said crossover could be used as a vehicle to revisit and finish previously started stories.

There are entire comic universes that were left hanging in the ether, and someone HAS to be able to get the rights to finish then.

Back to the Future and Terminator both are back doors to allow access to such realms.  Instead of making Megs skynet, or some other \"what a tweest!\" stand alone story, you have an Autobot with a time-case.
Or a raccoon dog/agent of fate.
Or even the Omnibots and OP\'s time force.
Ok, so a full page to say this:
There\'s no reason to reinvent the wheel using crossovers.  There are endless hanging strings of unfinished or unjustly finished stories in the multiverse, and a crossover is a sure vehicle to ride that tale off into the sunset. We loved them all, we lived them all, we watched, read, listened, colored, and chose-your-own-adventured them all. There\'s always a way to get rights, or co ordinate rewrites, or similar methods to breathe new life into the old scripture, as it were. Imagine instead of T100 dying just to make megatron into skynet, St Helens erupts while Sarah and Reese are fleeing metal death and they cross paths with the newly awakened.  We get new viewpoints into the old stories, new toys are sold and folks make $$, and we get to see Wheeljack accidentally invent liquid metal.

I wonder if the art for prime in the lower right frame was taken from something else or maybe they planned on a different view and changed direction mid way. I'm bringing it up because green and red not-hotspot (sorry I know who it is but I cant recall the name) has her feet planted on the floor/steps but primes feet are drawn with one foot planted mid air (as if they planned for much taller steps) and the other foot phasing through the floor as if originally. It'd work if the steps were drawn from a different view but if the intent was to slow him pivoting back its not reading as that and generally in comic art drawing characters between key poses is something typically avoided. typically it's always set up and execution of an action.

I don't have any opinion on the rest of your comment and this isn't an argument but wanted to add that it matters to me that they include LGBTQ content. They may not have always handled it correctly but I enjoy the addition to the Transformers universe the same way I enjoy the addition and inclusion of fembots.

I am a long time fan (since ep. 1 of Beast Wars) and it is not politics to me. It is my life and I like, if not love, seeing that represented in the media I consume (and pay for), as does others in my community.

Though you may not mean it, it is a very alienating to imply a franchise ABOUT WAR is not political until you add LGBTQ topics. Just my 2 cents as a fellow fan.

Well that just dropped a lot for Pyra Magna\'s character, and I\'m hoping she\'ll be better done this time.  Looks like she does consider herself a monster for what happened, even if she doesn\'t regret it.  So a few guesses.
1-Some of Cyclonus buddies were on that ship, hence his grudge against Pyra.
2- Getting some Demolition man vibes from this.  Betting Turmoil had killed the hostages, and is the one that blew the ship.

I agree with your entire post but want to reinforce this statement - Transformers, as a franchise, has always been "political", from its original focus on an energy crisis on Cybertron (coming just a few scant years after an energy crisis in the United States with fuel rationing, etc.) to stuff like Carbombya in the G1 cartoon (which was an explicit riff on global politics, "Abdul Fakkadi" being a thinly veiled take on real word Libyan politician Muammar Khaddaffi) to the implied politics of the Beast Wars cast not knowing anything about Earth or the original Great War besides what the government allowed them to know to the Movie-verse Autobots working closely with members of the US armed forces, who are always presented as heroic and steadfast and noble, even when they're under the management of some other agency such as Cemetery Wind, who are the "bad guys." The US Government may not be friendly towards the Autobots, but Lennox and his guys know the truth because they're The Troops and The Troops are always good guys.

But for some reason, you add any sort of gender or sexuality-based content and suddenly it's "political."

(it's even more cringeworthy when people say this about, say, Call of Duty or some other video game where you're explicitly an agent of the United States government engaged in acts of violence against non-US people.)

Transformers wars have largely always been about politics. The cons rising up against the senate and in most continuities overthrowing the senate and looking to wipe out all the autobots stood for both metaphorically and literally. Megatron and optimus largely having opposing views on how those views should be implemented.

The above post mentioned LGBTQ and throughout the history of the franchise there's been shades of it in a universe dominated by robots. As a kid watching sumbow I always thought tracks was shall we say fruity with his ultra toffee accent and way he spoke. Remember I'm about 13 at the time and it was in a time where you didn't see much of that in the media. Not like now. He spoke a little bit like old movie star George sanders who spoke in a very posh way. That was my feeling on it in the episode with Raul.

It has existed on and off. Idw1 really ran with that and had most bots paired off with each other towards the end. In the current idw2 we have cosmos and blast off and I'm sure there are others.

On another note I missed beast wars first time round because I was 21 and had moved on and was more interested in music football and women. I have no emotional connection but I'm becoming a fan now. I love the beat wars comic despite only really learning about some characters now.
