Took you over a month for a comment?
The thread was just bumped today, he probably didn't realize it was a month old.
Still, worth commenting on a month-old discussion that's done?
I didn't realize it was old. Sorry to have kept you waiting.
"Still, worth commenting on a month-old discussion that's done?"
You've just done the same thing, twice now. Your first comment was quizzical to me, and your second is hypocritical.
Can I help you with anything else today?
Oh hey, can I join??
livioramondelli In stores next week! Was happy to supply this Astrotrain cover to Transformer #27
The composition sucks. Tons of wasted space. The left shoulder should not be breaking the page. The angle is dull. The pose is a big, ambiguous block. The dark colors seem to mask the awful drawing. I cannot figure out what on earth cosmos' arms are doing. The legs posed together is great big tangent. It looks like cosmos might be peeing in a pool, but its hard to tell. What is cosmos standing on? The background is trash. The mountains look like they were done by a 3rd grader. There a weird black splotches in the sky which look like errors that should be erased. There's no variation in the line weights. Lines don't match up. The colors are only flats. You can see the the digital pencil under the inks. The stars look like they were done in MS Paint. And some untalented hack was idiot enough to sign this garbage, and idw was desperate enough to publish it.
It’s like none of the editors at IDW tells the writers or artists or colourists to go back and redo something that wasn’t up to standard.
pffft pulling this out of my ass but I'd guess the current staff produce content on time, are probably quite friendly to work with and don't ask for much. They could invest and send more work to outside artists but with the uncertain future of comics in general I'm guessing they just want to play it safe.
Fair enough. I can't really see any of that myself. I actually find it kind of beautiful
Producing content on time and being friendly to work with is all very well and good, but not if this is the quality that is being put out.
This thread is regarding January releases. It’s still January so the thread has yet to become old.
you would be shocked how many people work in the creative industry and will keep their jobs just by just meeting the minimum level of work asked and are nice people. Maybe they wont climb the ranks but unless they slip up they are safe. It just costs too much to replace some one on a production when you've got deadlines etc.
But I do agree the standard isn't as high as it should be. I'd love to see it go back to the early days of IDW. I just cant see it happening.
IDW’s Transformers (2019) Comic Series: 5-Page Preview of Issue #27 - Transformers News - TFW2005
The inside art looks nice. Honestly think that Skylynx image would make for a nice cover.
yeah about that, enemy is a low ranking soldier in the rise who was given a low key mission to infiltrate the moon. He even had to stowaway to on a ship to infiltrate. It’s not intended to really be a joke. They didn’t know he was there because he’s not suppose to be because his captures even told him he will be left behind but I’m sure you’ll find something else to shit on
Imagine wanting to include Cyberverse Shadow Striker when you could've included the original iteration of the character who was 10 times better and more interesting in comparison.
Cyberverse Shadow Striker is just a cringe fanfic-tier OC.
I would like to hear some of your favorite BotCon Shadow Striker moments.
Unfortunately her time in the 3H comics was comparatively short-lived, but she died (I assume she didn't make it) an honorable death so the other Children of Primus could keep on trucking. She's prime material to be expanded upon, along with her sister.
