I'm surprised we don't have the Cover A for Transformers #20, but the description makes it clear that something big is going to happen. Maybe this will lead towards a war breakout in #25.

Galaxies #8 appears to involve some mystery and detective themes, which should be interesting, but I'm surprised Arcee and Greenlight aren't mentioned in the description.

Secrets and Lies #1 gives us Marvel G1 Shockwave, which is always a good thing, and it'll be nice to see Star Saber in this series.

Having a Terminator pitted against the Autobots and Deceptions should make an interesting battle.

Those covers illustrate perfectly how boring TF comics have become.
It's nothing but a game of watching the fanfavs being badass. No story, no excitement, no challenge.

I think thats a really cynical way of looking at it, some of these covers show off some real potential i think! TF Has had the same evergreen cast forever yea, but the diversity of characters and how they behave in the comics as opposed to all other media is, id argue, where the comics seem to shine best! Take someone like Shockwave, where even as early as G1 he was a traitor in the comics, and a loyalist in the cartoon. Just because a series has a rotating familiar set of faces, doesn't mean its "easy".

I think the issue of a consistent cast is more of a problem for transformers in its entirety, less so in just the comics.

The order of events for the main story is starting to get confusing in the solicitations. I thought bots were evacuating because the place had completely fallen apart. Or wait...does the description for 19 mean we might actually see a situation where Megatron is fully in charge of Cybertron...and these are his security forces cracking down? And bots might be trying to get their hands on weapons as part of an Autobot uprising? If so, hell yes.

while i dont read the new idw g1 continuity comic I am so happy to see Greenlight getting so much time now, I might actually buy those two issues ?

As for 84, this TPB will be the first new comic issue I have bought in probably 20 years . very ongoingexcited for it and very excited to have Star Saber in the g1 comic continuity. I just hope they dont kill him.

Hoping this becomes a very long ongoing series.

I just wish I could buy the individual issues monthly too, so I can show my support. ( I live in Japan ) as it is I have to wait for the TPB and have it shipped once.

Yeah, I’m dying for an Autobot uprising lead by Op. Just imagine him organizing secret meetings and stuff. A whole underground network of rebels. PLEASE, Ruckley.

I was wondering that too, then I read the description for #20:

    TRANSFORMERS #20

    (W) Brian Ruckley (A) Anna Malkova, Bethany McGuire-Smith (CA) Jack Lawrence
"Swindle's." If you're looking for something in Cybertron's black market, your best bet is almost inevitably Swindle's, an illegal den of contraband energon, skitter racing, and more. It's great for those looking for a way to get their hands on weapons and supplies, and greater still for the Security Operatives who know what's going on and are about to start a raid...

OMG Combaticon confirmed. Welp, they've got my interest! The Combaticons are some of my favorites. Of course, it might just be Swindle, or maybe his team's with him, we'll see.
Also, I LOVE that Hound cover and I hope he's actually a developed character in this story. Been waiting a long time for more Hound "screen time".

Now I'll just be over here today, fidgeting and sitting and wondering if this means we've got Combaticon toys incoming in the current line....

Judging by IDW's continuing poor performance you might be one of the few.

Exactly why I'm looking forward to TF84. Furman is known for his fast-paced story arcs, engaging dialogue, and deadly situations. I'll take the Marvel G1 team over IDWs current creative team any day of the week.

TF84 will be the shot in the arm that IDW needs to generate interest in their TF comics again.

I don’t even see this as an IDW book. ‘84 just screams Marvel Comics and I love it.
