Hello

So i was googling rodimus for a custom WIP and i stumbled across all these pics of IDW rodimus and screamed like a schoolgirl at the site of the pics.

Anyway, does anyone have pics if his IDW alt mode? Is it a Pagani Zonda and which comic Arc is the best read for this ver of rodimus?

 

Which IDW Rodimus do you think because he had about three different designs?

As nifty as that design is, the comics it features in are unfortunately pretty mediocre. The best IDW series featuring Hot Rod/Rodimus is More Than Meets the Eye, which is one of the current ongoing series.

 

Well I guess that you can read the Space Opera arc to get that design. It's rather fun actually.

 

Oh, actually, yeah, Space Opera (issues #19-#21 of IDW's The Transformers) wasn't half bad. I liked Garnak. I fear it'd probably be a bit of a confusing read without any context from the rest of the series, though.

 

I like MTMTE design best.  

IDW Rodimus is basically the one we should have had in the 80's instead of clamouring for Optimus to come back from the dead.

 

I dunno you can pretty much get what's going on by going with the "The Story so far"

It's Costa's run it's not rocket science.

 

Agreed, the week knee'd make wrong decisions Rodimus Prime sucked. He was so unsure of himself and never stood by his decisions. I think he felt so guilty because his interference caused the death of Prime that he couldn't get past it. Not that the alternatives to Rodimus in the 80's were any better, i.e. "I can't deal with that now" Magnus.

Honestly that's the best look at it you're going to get. You're better off with looking at the real life model.

Here's his current design in More Than Meets The Eye. By the way, as one Rodimus fan to another. Read this book. It is fan-flippin-tastic. Rodimus has never been portrayed so perfectly before (in my experience).

 

Yeah but it also has a very different Cybertronian design. I think he's mostly asking about this one because he likes the Don Fig look.

 

Yeah, MTME Rodimus' alt mode feels much more powerful and muscular, a bit of a contrast with his slim and spiky robot mode.

 

Good story is a good story  

I always thought rodimus' alt mode was pretty much already cybertronian

Those three dots make him look like cheetor. Car mode isnt stylin enough though  

 

Now i definitely dig his new redesign very much, gives that cybertronian feel to it more.

 

I liked his look in Escalation quite a bit myself  

 

Besides the MTMTE version I loved this version. Wish they could have made an action figure from this model
