Oh finally. I have felt so lost without my comics. I still pass by my LCS and pick up something else to read to help give them business, but going so long without a TF comic sends me back to the dark ages when DreamWave was horribly late on releases and then went belly up.

Since they must be far along by now I would have preferred, say, a weekly release schedule for Transformers '84..... Since some of those furloughs unfortunately became layoffs and we've been hearing about their financial problems for quite a while now.... Well, you know where I'm going with this. Let's hope they make it and keep on providing jobs for many good people.

 

I know this isnt a Transformers book but it is writen and drawn by Livio Ramondelli and the first four issues IMO are amazing.

Thing is, they're not far along, because most of the comics industry has been in a state of "pencils down" for the last couple of months, with no further work being done on any books during the time that comics weren't being released. So there's no rush of product in the aftermath.

 

That and the books were already running late before the shutdown

 

I know, but I figured this particular series was announced quite a long time ago, way before the virus shutdown happened. So I was kinda hoping Guido was pretty far along with the artwork even before the pencils down thing happened (I'm pretty sure Simon's script really is done already). But on the other hand, the preview pages we've seen show that the art is incredibly detailed so I guess it takes quite a bit of time to do the art for this book. Oh well. As long as this series gets published. That and everybody still having a job after all this are my main concerns ; )
(Yes, I'm still bummed about The War Within vol. 3 : P )

 

About friggin\' time. Only TF comic I have been waiting for all year.

 

Omg need pre order page. Haven\'t bought a new and good TF comic in ages.

Nice cover! I'm not a huge fan of Furman's more recent writing but... I'll keep an eye in this. its great seeing the comic book deco Prime and Megatron.

 

Me being silly but I can't help but see Nick's cover as Prime and Megatron fused together like the classic Megs/Ratchet gestalt, like if you took the ark and it's exhaust trail away you'd see the fused bits. One leg each. Shoulders fused...that arm melded into one limb with two fists now stuck emerging from the waist....fusion cannon is now, well, something that looks rude on a human.... 

Cannot wait for this series to drop! I stopped buying singles a while ago but to support IDW I'll be picking up all of these when they land AND the trade. This is going to be as magical as the zero issue was: I can feel it.
