IDW Publishing, creators of the best-selling TRANSFORMERS comic book series, to launch an all-new line of G.I. JOE vs. COBRA comic books. As part of the agreement, IDW will produce a new monthly comic series, as well as deluxe reprints of the G.I. JOE property’s vast comic library, which helped catapult the G.I. JOE vs. COBRA phenomenon more than 25 years ago. IDW also has the rights for trade paperbacks and graphic novels.

After near ten years of being under seperate roofs it's nice G.I.Joe and The Transformers will once again be handled by the same comic company. Some of what people are saying over at Hisstank concerning IDW's Transformers comics though does come off as a bit harsh. I think IDW could handle Joe just as well as I feel they're handling Transformers.

But if they make another Crossover deal with Marvel comics and have like Cobra teaming up with Hydra and the new Avengers Initiative or whatever team join forces with Joe to put a stop to the team up I hope they'll get better artists involved. Provided of course they even considered another Crossover with Marvel Comics. :D

Well only thing that made me quit the TF books was the price. I'll pay it for an event book but not a regular series. So no more Joe for me.

Well good, now I have no reason to buy the series anymore. I wasn't interested anymore and a buck increase will seal th deal.

Good luck to 'em. Personally i'm hoping for no cross-overs as i've never enjoyed any of the past TF/Joe stories.

They need to issue a trade of the original Marvel Joe/TF mini, and GI Joe 138-142 where Megatron gets rebuilt. And Action Force 24-27, because those are REALLY hard to find.

Isn't the phrase "GI Joe vs. Cobra" a bit redundant? Who else would GI Joe fight, the Jacksonville Jaguars? The Catholic Church?

Hey, I think Cobra Commander got into the position of Secretary of State at some point so don't count out a sports team coup.

    GI Joe vs MARS?
GI Joe vs the Red Shadows?
vs the Headmaster and the Headhunters?
    vs the Jugglers?
    vs the Oktober Guard?
Cobra's not the only ones they've fought in their various comic incarnations, ya know. Nevermind stuff like the more 'historic' WWII based GI Joe, or GI Joe Extreme.

Are they going to be keeping the Devil's Due continuity?

I was under the impression that the October Guard was about six Russian soldiers, five of whom are dead.

In addition, aren't they allied with GI Joe?

We all knew this would happened. I'm more interested to see if they do nods or cameos to transformers before making a crossover.

Now if only Hasbro cash in this opportunity for a Transformers Crossovers: GI Joe.

Set in it's own continuity of course.

I'd buy the last two of those (the original TF/GIJoe crossover is complete rubbish)

    BOOOOOOOOOOO!

    Hasbro = idiots.

DDP produce the best current run of Joe comics ever seen with WWII, then Hasbro take the license away.

I'm primarily a TF fan. but the only comic I've been looking forward to lately was GI Joe.

Well let's see, if the new Joe comic is up to Spotlight Mirage/ Ramjet standard, or perhaps Megatron Origins standard, then I can stop buying GI Joe as well.

    You suck Hasbro.

To me the crossovers were so so and I treated them as such.

But I don't think I'll be buying any more iDW books with Transformers in them with the exception of The Animated run. The others are getting too dark for my tastes.
