i think the arm came out great and it has a ton of character now and barely even resembles the original parts anymore.

i also had a quick question if you dont mind. what all did you do to the eye socket on this head? is this just an exacto knife and a red paint dot?

I used a hand-drill with a bit that was just wide enough for the eye socket. I carefully drilled away the eye, widening the socket and giving it the “gouged” appearance, eventually this loosened the connection between the two pieces of the headsculpt and they easily separated. Now the head is made of two pieces, the eyes are on the part that makes up the back of the head.

This is perfect as I went in with the knife, cleanly slicing away any of the original eye. Eventually it was smoothed out and this is where I painted the entire area where the eye was black, When it dried I did a dry fit with the rest of the head and carefully applied the red dot where I would assume his inner optic would be.

When this was done I glued the head back together, tightened the ball joint on the base figure and put the head back on.

Most of the parts are currently available, the DNA Design SS Megatron upgrade kit, Siege Megatron is sold by himself on BBTS and we’ve all got a Refractor shield or two.

If you want a paint list I can provide one, it’s mainly just a technical Citdael paint and some limited drybrushing.

If I did not have two kids to homeschool I'd be all over making one of my own.

Ah, that is far more time-consuming and difficult task.
