TRANSFORMERS #1 CVR A RODRIGUEZ (JAN190714) TRANSFORMERS #2 CVR A DANIEL (JAN190719) SYNERGY HASBRO CREATORS SHOWCASE (JAN190740) GO-BOTS #5 CVR A SCIOLI (JAN190747)
Hoping the reboot gives us something good, the new writer is probably the thing I'm most looking forward to.
That Chromia cover is FIRE! I love that they're doing everything I want from a fembot with her design. Not overly female human (breasts or butt) but still has a very feminine appearance. That Leader-1 cover is downright awesome as well. I love the facial expression.
Ok, that's not a bad twist on the premise. Cybertron as a hub world with organic life? That could work. And Chromia does look good. Wonder how you explain guns, though, in a planet without murder?
Cybertron as an interstellar hub of commerce? There's an angle I've never heard of before. Bumblebee and Windblade escort a newly-forged Cybertronian on a tour. So, now they're teachers/kid-minders? Seems like a nice nod to their prominence in the 2 recent pointedly more kid-oriented TF TV shows. And Prowl is a police officer. How completely appropriate. I'm liking what I'm seeing of the new author's headspace so far.
Not really feeling the "no murder in recent memory." I mean, even in non-war countries, murders happen. Wait and see, though.
It seems to be doing a good job so far, based on how female bots are here from the get-go, and how Cybertron is a hub for interstellar commerce. A murder mystery? That sounds interesting. I wonder if they’ll kill a well known Transformer or use a generic made up one.
Well, this doesn't sound like it's just a Cybertron without war--it's a Cybertron that's a seemingly perfect utopia. The description makes me wonder if this is going to lean harder into a science fantasy angle than most other TF fiction. Hmm.
Curious to know if the newly-forged character is an established one, or someone brand new. Otherwise, I'm surprised by how interested I am in this. I wasn't planning on picking up these new issues, but now I'm going back and forth on it.
Definitely, but I can also see those things working in another set-up. All someone would need to do is have micromasters/titanmasters as a normal part of the Cybertronian population from the beginning. Um, "Set phasers to stun."?
Yeah, if Cybertronians aren't insular species and have contacts with the rest of the galaxy then those passenger-oriented features are more likely.
