Wow, looks like the Autobots are pretty screwed in both MTMTE and RiD, aren't they?

And it looks like those who were worried about Megatron losing his stealth bomber design need worry no more! Too bad Bumblebee and Starscream have stuff to worry about themselves. =P

Oh, so Megatron is fully back and doing what he always does? Meh   . But he keeps that stealth bomber design..and that's awesome!

I'm not sure Barber is the ideal choice for a Bumblebee Spotlight, at least to me. :/

Spotlight: Bumblebee. ...an issue spotlighting Bumblebee... yeah. Really? Guy already had a mini-series. More to the point, following the Megatron Spotlight, we seem to be on a course of filling in gaps in the Costa Ongoing, which is a a chunk of time I'd prefer to leave dead and buried.

 

My guess? The Decepticon Justice Division shows up, and it degenerates into a three-way battle with Overlord fighting off both sides at once.

 

Who's Bubmblebee?

 

Yowch! Hope IDW catches that by the time this hits print!

 

I seriously doubt a major character will be killed off "for good" in the ongoing.

Though given Starscream's been able to die and come back as a ghost before...

 

Wow...a SL on Bumblebee? Hasn't Transformers had enough of the spotlight on BB since the first movie came out? Like there aren't hundreds of other characters we would love to see fill out an issue who have never had any or minimal page space at all?

And revisiting the plot holed Costa era is fine if it's to explore something which was actually cool, like Megatron's return on the asteroid...but the part about BB becoming leader in his new movie rific body and struggling to gain respect was definitely NOT cool.

And of course, I can't wait for MTMTE in March. But they will never kill Drift. Seriously, that would be like killing Daryl in the Walking Dead and a certain element of the fan base, which this book in particular caters to more and more each month, would freak. Even if they do off him the time machine or something else will be used to fix it.

 

MAGNUS!!!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Although knowing Roberts, there's more to the cover than what is first apparent. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just to capitalize on the buzz around the "Necrobot's" list, and both Drift and Magnus survive. I mean, Rung was bsically dead, and his detah was treated as such in the issue it happened, then boom, turns out he's alive next issue.

I mean, spoiling a character's death IN the cover? Wha? And Overlord looks weird as hell.

Everything else is passable. RID has Megatron beating people up. Yawn. Regen is Shockwave. Yawn. Spotlight: Bumbebee. Yawn to the tenth power. That little bastard had a miniseries, he doesn't need a Spotlight. I hate when main characters who always have issues focused around them get Spotlights. It's a waste. (See: Spotlight Optimus and Orion) And FOC is Grimlock. Hahahahaha no. He's worse than Bumblebee.
