The X-line is fantastic, but Marvel is never going to publish TF comics again, so who cares.

To bring the discussion full circle, the main reason why we know how awful Pat Lee was is because Rich Johnston covered it in detail in his CBR column fifteen years ago.

Honestly? Probably. New publishers can reprint the old material, but they may not be invested in it, or may not want to continue the form factor.

 

Yeah, but for many fans, that's not how it works.

It takes a lot for me to refuse to buy a CHUG figure. It takes a lot for me to refuse to buy a TF comic. Why? Because I don't want to go back to that times in the 90s before BW when Transformers utterly disappeared.

So if even the die-hard TF comic fans won't buy your TF comic, that's saying something.

That being said, I feel like Hasbro owes ME money after viewing the worthless garbage that is WFC on Netflix or Machinima's Prime Wars disaster on Go-90.

 

I found it kind of annoying that both major books had the "all the cool mystical lore is actually 100% mundane" ending at the same time.

If you had the displeasure of reading Roberts barely concealed fetish material fanfic, you'd known that would be the case. I mostly hated MTMTE RID ripping off Persona 3's ending.

 

I really hope Disney buys Hasbro and Marvel takes over the comics. Disney also makes quality movies and exclusive programming. The latest Star Wars and Marvel shows have been very enjoyable. I love how Disney somehow retained all of the original voice actors for What If and X-Men 97.

Imagine if Disney could do that for a Beast Wars Season 4, when Megatron drops out of the Time ship and searches for his virus? He'd likely encounter Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, possibly himself. Disney is loving time travel stories right now. Disney has the financial resources to take that risk and make Transformers for all audiences, not just Michael Bay's beer-drinking male audience.

Ugggh you've called up some ancient thoughts from my head but, no, they weren't similar. Like, "One person sacrifices themself to secure a future for others" is pretty much the only similarity there. IDW Op isn't holding back any evil, he's just shown compassion to something shown only hatred in the past and it sorted that. That's, not Persona 3's ending at all

 

If IDW loses the liscense I hope Marvel or Dc get the license and make Optimus a female for. Year or two so I can feed off the rage filled tears.~

Or was it the dictator (Megatron) getting lost in another dimension, where centuries pass for him, and returns a hero with the calvary behind him, and he converted his fusion cannon into a first aid kit?
