    another epic AHM cover.
hope this ends up in a fat omnibus with the appropriate spotlights and the coda...

I'm rather encourged that the coda is written by Furman and not McCarthy, though. Perhaps we'll get a lot better meshing of the -ation and AHM continuities, now.

Not buying another book written by Furman. Wish McCarthy was the permanent writer.

Coda is not written by Furman. Coda is an anthology series. Two short stories per issue. Different writers. So Furman may be doing this particular issue, but the next one will be different.

I'm curious how many issues the Energon TPB will have. DW only released those crappy digest/manga ones and the glue fell apart a year later.

People like them ? - crikey - I'm pulling my Hair out trying to find out which Gi Joe or Transformers covers don't suck each month so I can avoid ordering them.

I particularly hate the more stylised ones - but it's good in a way as it means I fell less inclinded to buy both covers than I used to.

Oh and the Interior Art on some of the Gi Joe Comics is well below minimal exceptable standard in my view - it's bordering on being as terrible as some Star Wars comics can be.

I personally like the alternative style of some of the All Hail covers, though some of the issues having traditional covers looks so much nicer. Such as the recent issue 10, I prefer the "traditional" shot with the broken glass group of the Decepticons, but 9 stands out as well, considering the plot development.

I hear ya - I've got a standing order w/ my comic shop - only Milne, Su or Guido covers (and of course, Don F when he does stuff!). *shudders at some of the "art" on the front of AHM*

well, i'm a graphic Designer and was in the music scene for about 10 years, so i love the poster quality, and i love that it deviates from "Standard" comic art. I think they've mostly been things of sheer beauty. love the texture on this one.

aside from the DW artists they've picked up, i generally find IDWs art to be mediocre-to-dreadful. (the dinobots book for instance:yuck ) that's why i stopped getting IDWs TF books when they jumped to $4. slow stories & bad art trumped love of TFs. (still grab Don's stuff of course, and will pick up trades on things Guido and Milne do)

and to be fair both Star Wars Dark Times and Legacy have incredible artists, but i hear ya about some of the other SW books.

    F*CK no.
I've lost all faith in IDW after they took the story that Furman spent ages building up, shat on it, and moved things a year into the future with a sub-standard writer. The only reason "Coda" seems to exist is to clear up McCarthy's dodgy writing with some short stories to explain the "inconsistencies" (read screwups).
