I have been reading the G1 Marvel books (yeah yeah, I am soooooo late on that) anyways, besides the ******ed Powermaster Prime deal(I finally now know where this "powermaster" crap came from) , the one thing I would like to see to say when IDW takes over is please don't overload the universe with sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many characters. Create some development for them. In the Marvel transformers, there are way to many character's and not enough development on them. And dont try to grow the Universe so fast that now you have 150 character's in the mix. Even though there are probably a 1000 different characters in the Transformers universe. Just take it slow.

yeah, wait I like the powermaster stuff. Lots of characters is best handled in the Marvel G1 fashion, where new characters are introduced through a stand-alone story and do not just appear with a few lines of dialogue. While stories such as those featuring mechannibles or micromasters were terrible, stories such as matrix quest which introduced quite a few new characters were very good thanks to the nature of the character development. Previously unknown characters like nightbeat even became cool in that series.

Nothing get's on my nerves more then "POW" there are a bunch of new character's with no origin and story assumes they were always there! What I found really funny, is in issue #43, Marvel (I just read it yesterday) blaster talks just like blaster from the cartoon, and not from the previous transformer comic issues. He had a totally different personality change.. I am thinking what the hell. Its a little late to be complaining now..(only 18 years!) but whatever.

Theres no danger of that, IDW won't have Hasbro on the phone every 6 months demanding that they drop everything to advertise 50 new toys like Bob did at Marvel.

IDW is doing it right. Though I'm a bit "roll eyes" about the Autobot cast list.

    Optimus Prime
    Ratchet
    Prowl

At least there's no Grimlock (yet) ... but still, Furman really loves his little core group that seem to appear or re-appear all the time.

Megatron won't be changed too drastically I imagine, because he would totally lose his G1 appearance, which is what they're going for in this.

As for Galvatron, he's actually a really interesting character that has tons of potential. He was awesome in Marvel G1/UK G1, though the cartoon is what made him a turn-off to most fans.

    Hear hear!

And if it doesn't have Hot Rod, I honestly won't be going for it. I'm tired of the guy getting shit on, story-wise. :(

Movie Galvatron was cool, but yeah, cartoon Galvatron wasn't really the brightest Decepticon around with his shooting his own side for some slight mistake and seemed very reactionary to the Autobots and Quintessons alike. I mean come on, even though Cyclonus never took the mantle of Decepticon leader, he was more or less calling the shots.
