Transformers Construct-Bots and Generations Deluxes are featured on the back of this week's Walmart toy circular. Interestingly enough, for the Generations Deluxe figures, they decided to showcase two figures from the upcoming IDW Wave 3, Dreadwing and Skids:



I especially like the added touch of G2 Decepticon symbols on Dreadwing's comic and packaging.

Hmmmmm, it'd very interesting if Skids happens to come out before MTMTE 22 hits.

 

I haven't even found the Wave 1 IDW deluxes yet  
Hopefully my brother can find these because he wants both, but I'd sure like to see the previous ones around here.

 

I wonder which comic Dreadwing will come with. There wasn't an IDW Dreadwing spotlight, or was there?

 

G2 symbol?

 

He's coming with an issue of RiD - I forget which number but it's the one that heavily focuses on Shockwave's backstory.

I'm really curious though what this means for when Wave 3 and 4 will hit.... the big question mark for me is the comics.

Now, given they have to work ahead to be ready for the toys, odds are the first 4 parts of Dark Cybertron are ready to go... Roberts tweeted he was working on issue 10's script right now. And usually, we get a wave 3 sometime in Oct/Nov, and then a wave 4 that hits saturation in January but starts to show in Dec.

Is this still going to be the case? As if so, Dark Cybertron's toys are coming out INCREDIBLY concurrently to the IDW books.

Skids is looking GOOD, though I feel he's almost too well armed, maybe even too IDW, weird as that is to say

 

Skids looks AWESOME.

 

Interesting.... Skids' bio on his Amazon page is his MTMTE persona, while Waspinator's is his Beast Wars self.

...and since a friend on Twitter considers it an inevitability...

Honestly, I am so sick of Car-formers by now. That said, for some reason I'm still really excited about Skids. I'd prefer a more G1-y alt-mode, but I always liked Skids' character, for some reason. In spite (because?) of his limited screen-time.

And Dreadwing is just automatically bought. Any ideas on who to repurpose as Smokescreen?

well ROTF Mindwipe has been made into G2 Smokes before

Eh, I had been holding out hope that Skids shoulders were just mis-transformed, it's looking more and more like he'll barely be able to raise his arms out to the sides at all.
