I think we're looking at 8-10 volumes of IDW reprints/recolors if they don't step up the page count.

vol 2 - #17-#32 340 pp (excluding another two)
vol 3 - #33-#46 312 pp (excluding one issue)
vol 4 - #47-#61 368 pp (no exclusions)

vol 6 - #75-80 + Headmasters + TFTM adpation 364 pp
Wow. Gotta love solicits that spoil.
Really, I kinda hate when that happens.
agreed... i knew what the story was from the other day, when the title was in spoiler tags, but i know others will see that and get bugged... and i don't even read previews anymore because they almost always spoil the story... the only one's that really don't are Invincible and The Walking Dead, because they leave it so ambiguous and instead of trying to build on hype, they build on good story telling...
Wow. Nice artwork... but what the? A Crossover featuring TF, GI Joe, Star Trek, AND Ghostbusters? Insanity.
Why can't anyone properly seat G1 Prime's rifle in his fist? It's a just the tip deal, I figured that out when I was ten.
aw c'mon not again with Prime...this is lame.
I'm most interested in the recolored Marvel comics. They haven't shown any pages from that yet.
Not to start an arguement about people who are overly spoilerphobic, but how can the title of a comic, even THAT ONE, spoil their reading experience? I'd assume that before they read the comic they will see the title on the cover.
Then again maybe I'm wrong. Does anyone here have their comic shop hand them their comics in an unmarked paper bag with the covers ripped off to avoid knowing the name and cover art before they read the comic? Do they walk in like:
Customer: Please give me any Transformers comics that came in.
Comic book guy: Do you want the De....
Customer: NO DON'T SAY THE TITLE! I might get a clue to what happens in the book early! (sticks fingers in ears and starts to sing "LA LA LA!")
What? Prime is going to die? Again?
yeah, you'd think it'd be awesome, but i found the story to be pretty awful... i bought the first issue, then sold it later... only read the TF tie-ins, and read the last issue in store...
No, that a typo, it's the "The Def of Optimus Prime". Op hosts a night at Def Comedy Jam.
Should I have interest in reading these? The Classics is a definite read.
Do want the classics volume. Anxious to get the first one, just need some spare cash
I actually got an e-mail from Amazon about Classics Volume 2 just this morning and put in a pre-order for it. And while I was on the site, I also found this: Amazon.com: Transformers Classics: UK Volume 1 (9781600109430): Simon Furman, Mike Collins, James Hill, John Ridgway, Jeff Anderson, John Stokes, Barry Kitson, Mark Farmer, Will Simpson, Geoff Senior: Books
Prime's death => a break before upgrade
I just wanna know how I get that optimus prime with that head? How did I miss that one?
Bring him back in the Powermaster armor and I'll buy every damn variant cover they publish. And trades.
You just have to buy the super expensive iPod docking station Prime.
