Would be interesting to see the Autobots with a telepath of their own. I've tried to check, but I don't think they actually have one. Could do some neat battle of the mindscapes with Soundwave.
Wow, more bitching about Windblade from the usual suspects. How original. The solicit for TF #0 has me interested. Almost seems like it’s meant to tie into Man of Iron, which would be awesome.
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones and people who begin their posts by complaining about other people complaining shouldn't be making digs at others for their perceived lack of originality. Or to put it differently: Wow, more bitching about bitching. How original.
But seriously, maybe we should move this discussion to the popular or pushed?? thread over in General Discussion. Are you allowed to ask mods if they mind moving posts from one thread to another?
Kei Zama just announced that there was an error in the solicitation and she will not be doing interiors for #12. "Accidentally I was announced as IDW Transformers #12 interior artist on Previews, but it’s wrong information. I will not draw interiors for that issue. I’m sorry if it disappointed you. Kei" About Transformers #12 announcement
I just hope Furman does the Marvel comic justice. He was a great writer on the Marvel comic, but I didn’t like Regeneration One. That said, I would like a Regeneration Two. It would be an eight issue series taking place after G1 #80, and incorporates the original G2 comic. Furman’s Brute Force series would also be referenced as taking place in the Marvel Transformers continuity. #81 - #82: Directly bridges the gap between #80 and G2 #1. #83 - #94: G2 #1 - #12. #95 - #100: The aftermath to G2 #12. It would NOT be a retelling of Regeneration One. Also, I’d like a Rhythms of Darkness #0 and Rhythms of Darkness #2 - #4 telling the events of what happened before and after #67.
The problems I had with REG1.... it shouldn’t have had a huge time jump if you’re going to start with 81. It should have started with issue 321 (20 years at 12 issues a year). We lost so much time with the characters that the readers got detached. Some of the events could have easily happened a few months later. The Megatron plot was the one that couldn’t. The other thing I felt that was wrong was it was written with decompressed storytelling like modern books. We didn’t need 20 issues to cover all of that. I miss comics of the 70’s and 80’s with the thought bubbles and exposition. A hell of a lot more happened in an issue back then and you didn’t finish a book in two minutes. I wish they had written the books like they were in the day.
There was a lot wrong with regen. Ignoring what happened in marvel uk was the biggest gripe forvme not to mention the gene key.
It at least incorporated Deathbringer from the UK comics. And Americans have had plenty of time to catch up on the U.K. comics even if they didn’t play a role in their childhood.
Oh yeah, Road Rage! I've been curious to see her in something for a long time especially due to her "quirk". I also love her design. I hope she gets to keep her mouthplate.
Shame about that, because as much as Windblade is fine in my books, Nautica would be a cooler default, even Chromia.
Yeah, she was drawn without one in the Wings Universe so I wasn't surprised. I hope it's retractable because I think faceplates look cool and don't think I've seen a lot of female characters with one. It's something I liked about Dust-Up's design. Not only did she have a faceplate but it wasn't just a battlemask: it was permanent like Grimlock's.
