The dialogue, characterisation and storyline here is actually intriguing and well written that makes you want to read more.

As opposed to Ruckley’s books where his dialogue was so tedious, bland and boring that it was a turn off to want to read the comic further. The only good thing about Ruckley’s books were when the characters were actually participating in some kind of action scene. Which didn’t happen all that often in the previews. Ruckley made “bunch of people talking” bad by being a bad writer. Reading his stories came across as white noise. I found myself not retaining anything I read from his books. My brain just refused to absorb it.

Lore knows his lore. I hope he can get hired by the next company. I don’t know anything about his background though.

SG Prime says "GIVE ME YOUR FACE!"

 

Optimus is so creepy in this series OMG i can feel my skin crawl when he talks. We saw Rodimus! And springer to, i think? Wheeljack is now part of the wreckers too. I wonder if perceptor will be Goldbug's science guy? And, now we know that Ultra magnus wears a hologram on his face, so underneath he is skull faced.Man, I can't wait!

 

Wasn't aware that Magnus already has the skull face to begin with. Interesting way of how it alludes to in a metaphorical sense Magnus wears a mask of a sane person which if pushed too far will throw that away and reveal what he's really like on the inside. Also speaking pushing buttons it's clear that Prime's utter dismissal of Magnu's words and in general worth of a living being in general is going to end up coming back to bite him in the ass in the form of a monster that's even worse then him.

 

So when we talk about voice acting and when to use the classic voices...I feel like Hasbro should take some time to do an SG miniseries of some kind. Base it around this comic, if possible, and get as many G1 VAs back as you can.

Because this is the kind of thing where you could really have fun with Welker and Cullen. Give them an opportunity to do something new with the character and see how it goes.

 

I guess now it’s time to go through and identify the color schemes of the characters who are appearing in SG for the first(?) time? Let’s see, we’ve got:

SG Kup = Orion Pax colors, I guess?
SG Impactor = Constructicon colors
SG Springer = Galvatron colors
SG Whirl = Carnivac colors, I think?
SG Senator Shockwave = G1 Shockwave

Anyone else?

Side note, I always love seeing SG Sunstreaker in his Binaltech Dead End colors. Wish we’d get a Generations toy of that.

 

Oh damn, that is actually a probable thing that is going to happen in the comic. Nice synopsis.

 

It would be one helluva twist for Last Bot Standing to end at the start of ReGeneration One #96.

 

Yeah we don't even hear him and yet when he talks I feel like I'm talking to a man who would kill me if I even suggest he do something to him instead of him ordering me.

I’m sad they’re using the POTP Rodimus design in here… probably means there isn’t currently an SG Studio Series Rodimus toy in the works.

EDIT: Never mind! Looks like the Studio Series after all. Good!

 

Well someone clearly isn’t bringing their A game to the last issue of the whole IDW Transformers run. I expect much better from the artwork. The Shattered Glass comics still look amazing though. So props to that artist.

definitely looks more SS86 than PotP to me.
Note the shoulder details, pelvis area, and the flame deco. I wouldn't rule out an eventual SS86 SG Rod, the art is clearly based on that mold.
