Using the land from Madman's paradise makes so much sense. Maybe he takes a prisoner their and gets stuck or decides to stay and help with something. So many options for a fun story that could stand on it's own or be part of continuity in some ways.

How cool if it's an epic arc for Grimlock in the vein of War World for Hulk??

 

Maybe some characters from A Deceptacon Raider in King Arthur's Court could also be used in comic.

I just hope the grimlock story will be better then the visionaries v transformers from idw1. It has that vibe mixed with the opening scenes from the last knight.

Fantasy King Arthur stuff. Could be good but could be terrible. I'll try the first issue and see how it goes.

As for delays with the ongoing and escape I'm missing my transformers comics fix. Hope things start getting released soon. The comics are as important to me as the figures are.

 

Finally, a man with taste.   I don't super vibe with Cheetor/Tigatron, but Optimus/Rhinox is underrated as hell.
Also, Cheetor and Skold would be very cute... I'd be happy even if they were friends instead of a couple. I hope they get to meet at some point in the comics.

 

We've already got Airazor/Tigatron and Blackarachnia/Silverbolt. Fans can do what fans will do, but hopefully the comic doesn't feel compelled to pair off every female character with someone.

MCU's Steve/Nat partnership is what I hope we see from Dinobot/Nyx. Supportive without having to be romantic.

 

huh. King Grimlock could maybe be interesting, but I have so little faith in IDW at this point, it'll be waiting for the Comixology 99¢ sale next year. Not sure I can wrap my brain around the general concept, but if done well, could be interesting ....
(just seems like a TF, particularly Grimlock, would be soooooo overpowered in a fantasy setting... while that evil wizard is whipping up the fireball spell that won't even scratch his armor, Grimlock either shows him how it's really done with his flame thrower breath or more to the point, just steps on him - squish!)

Shattered Glass is still totally annoying to me, especially the artistic talents being wasted there, but major, major props for the G2 homage cover.

 

I somehow legit see the main Villain being some Decepticon mage cultists who’s a servant to Unicron and just summons a horde of techno-organic monsters to try to kill Grimlock.

 

We will have to wait and see what happens.

Well yeah, I'm not going to go on a tirade if it's romantic. I'm just hoping it goes more like Tigatron/Cheetor with a mentor/big brother type.

 

So a Wolverine and Jubilee like relationship.

 

Except, that comics can still be created in isolation. Most of the other publishers paused their release schedule out of politeness to the LCS' and Diamond, not out of necessity. They likely used that period to get ahead of their publishing schedule, unlike IDW it seems.

Nice of them to put all this good art not in the mainline comic...

and for my final negative of the post, am I the only one who has absolutely no interest in shattered glass? The whole premise seems terrible to me. Still, happy for those that like it.

King Grimlock looks interesting, happy to give it a go.
