Damn, Andy actually does some damn good robots

 

Really wish the art of the cover was the actual art style of the comic

 

Whoever had the big idea to have the BW characters who are all rounded and very organic and humanoid looking... as angular,  spikey and rectangular, with flat panels for arms and shoulders... should be fired. It is just baffling to me. Hey idiots at IDW, here is the ONE comic where Ramondelli\'s complete inability to draw a straight line would have worked! And you instead hired a cubist.
Facepalm.

 

that is only comments I always end up seeing up more of when new movies come up more rounded humanoid organic looking welcome to my world to transformers live movies people always want bots look more g1 looking in movies probably doing same with comic stop those comments being post I kinda like are mixture or transformers animated little bit be interesting see where it goes in other issues

 

Huh, most of Cheetor´s dialogue has been about Nyx so far, ain´t that an irony ? I wonder if it was planned

That said... CAN WE GET SOME OF THE MAINLINE COMIC PLEASE? Like, RIGHT when everything gets good they start taking multi-month hiatuses. WTF?

 

They are probably adding another thousand subplots that we´ll have to read in a single issue 

 

Cheetor also seems less childlike. He's brash and concerned, rather than being simply looking for adventure or acceptence.

 

Nyx mostly took his traits from the OG show

 

Indeed. Cheetor's restlessness here comes from a place of concern rather than of a desire for recognition. I'm neutral on this change, because while Cheetor was undeniably phenomenally stupid throughout... the entirety of Beast Wars actually, that stupidity is inherent to his growth as a character, whereas this version already seems to be halfway there in terms of maturity based on what little we've seen of him.

My prediction is thus: Cheetor's suspicions will get the better of him and he'll give Primal, Rhinox and Rattrap the slip as he goes to find Nyx on his own at the same time that Dinobot escapes from the Darksyde with her, likely after coming to blows with at least one of the other Predacons.

 

From the looks of it Cheetor's impulsiveness looks to be more about understandable situations like Nyx being missing for so long as opposed to just being rash due to looking for adventure. It's different for sure for him to do it this early but at the same time it's also a good way to set him apart from his original show character in a way that still retains a lot of the original character at the same time.

why does all of the dialogue sound like a teenager wrote it... none of it matches the cadences or personalities of the voice acting from the show

 

Just pretend Nyx is saying "Jumping Gyros" and voilá you got Cheetor, might as well pretend Optimus criticizes her to be even more faithful to show

 

except for the fact that some of the voice cast has actually been posting videos of them reading the dialogue because they themselves have been enjoying it and feel it’s captured the characters

 

well its got me hooked enough to wanna see what happens next. it is weird that the preview hints at cheetor rushing off to save nyx, yet the revealed covers imply it to be rattrap liek int he series

 

This Cheetor seems to be displaying a Big Brother relationship toward Nyx.

 

Ehhh, not exactly. Nyx wasn't going to go running off until Primal basically told her to. I don't feel like Nyx is similar to Cheetor other than a more youthful vibe.

I feel like there are users who either haven't heard, or don't understand what they meant by "it's like Marvel's Ultimate Universe".

The characters are not the same characters. Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy, they were all there in Ultimate comics, but they did not have the same personalities at all. They were all changed.

These new Beast Wars characters aren't SUPPOSED to sound like the original, and the more I read it, the more I'm seeing them as a very distinct group.

And I'm fine with that. It's new stories, new characters, some old faces.

 

The art is just a bad match for the series.
