I really like the War World and Escape covers, but the Beast Wars one feels kind of boring.

 

Damn, did they have to make Tarantulas look so toylike?
It definitely gives the impression, that this could be drawn from the first designs on the rumoured Tarantulas toy in the post Kingdom 2022 generations line. It probably isn't, but it pisses me off, that they hung this carrot out for us to speculate. Why did they draw air vents on those claw swivels? Or the missile legs

That\'s some terrible artwork. What is Optimus doing? Holding some origami flower? And why is a deformed another Optimus growing out of his shoulders?  

 

Unbeknownst to the Maximals, the Predacons have taken their first prisoner! As Megatron and Tarantulas run their interrogation, dissent stirs in the Predacon ranks. Who’ll give first—the dissatisfied Dinobot or the captured Maximal? The Beast Wars rage on!

This might be a hint of what the 2022 tarantulus is gonna look like

So this is basically a re-tread of the previous series, Pyra spends countless issues frowning and criticising Prime. Yay.

Glad to see they aren't rushing Dinobot's change in allegiance.

Also, hope the prisoner is a new protoform.

Bad artwork has been a staple of the IDW2 ongoing series.

 

For once, I’d love to see a comic with all seven Insecticons and Venom as their leader. Bonus points for making a Beet Papil eighth Insecticon.

 

The cover artwork has seen more misses than hits, but usually the interiors are a little bit better.

 

The interiors are done by multiple artists together. The action scenes are good usually but some things suffer for it.

 

Everyone keeps saying that, but I disagree. I think the art work has been amazing, and it's a little unfair to write it all off as being terrible. The only issue I take with this cover is that Optimus' head is too small
