Welp, nice to know what Rubble looks like I suppose.

Rubble’s getting killed, isn’t he?

 

Well now that i read this, I'm convinced Rubble will be that "first murder" mentioned.

 

That's what I was thinking. Does he have a cousin named Scrapmetal?

 

I love the glow effect the colorist managed to create. Its beautiful!

 

And Rubble is dying.

 

I guess I missed my opportunity to write “Rubble’s in trouble.” Oh well.

Yes, this will be the most mourned TF death since 1986. We barely knew ye.

 

Everyone's saying Rubble will die, and my thinking was that they'd Mary Sue their way through life

 

Meet the new Windblade, Drift, Rust Renegades, Lug, and Anode!

In other words a character who will have everything given to them and be given to much screentime and overshadow characters we want to see!

I shouldn\'t be so quick to judge. Also I thought the title said \"Rumble\"

 

Because we don't have enough characters to work with and flesh out already....

 

He will cause the first murder is my guess. he will start the war.

 

No he's the death that starts the war.

I'm sorry but Drift is infinitely better than Windblade, Victorion, Lug and Anode. He was never as bad as any of those characters are and were. Drift didn't really overshadow anyone, even at his 'worst', and there were no stupid retcons in order to staple him onto the plot.

People are assuming Rubble is going to die but I'm pretty sure we were told in the synopsis of the first issue that he's the 'newly forged' Cybe that, with Bee and Windblade are confronted with the murder in question. Unless by 'they' they only meant Bee and WB.

I can understand the pessimism given IDW's record of introducing pretty wank 'original' characters, but my cynical side wonders if people would be as harsh if the OC was yet another boring 'fembot'.

Just saying.

 

With a name like Rubble, I almost wonder if they’re a Rocklord. With how they’re designed, I can’t make out any discernible kibble, so they might be one of the old Gobot Boulders. That’d be neat. I always tend to like these IDW-original characters- like Drift, Windblade, and Nautica-, and I’m always excited for possible new Gobots love.

Anyway, speaking to Rubble... I hope he is more than just cannon fodder. His design is at least interesting.

 

Rubble is blue, so there'll be a red guy named Frenchy?
