Hey. New here. Me OverlordGrimlock. Recently watched back 2007 Bayberse movie, and kinda slept until the autobots arrived to earth. Thinked of giving my ideas, and so. Here it is:

    Minor details:
Autobots arrive in a smaller but still big version of the Ark.

    Obviously, less focus on humans.

    Get rid of simmons.

    Autobots:
Optimus Prime (Still Voiced by Peter Cullen Obviously.)
Bumblebee (ABLE TO TALK PLEASE, GIVE HIM A DAMN MOUTH PLEASE, have him actual horns like in g1)
    Ratchet
Ironhide (Keep tones of black and Mostly red, add the g1 Mohawk)
    Jazz
Sideswipe (Red and black, no swords)
Sunstreaker (You can't have Sideswipe without him)
    Prowl
    Wheeljack (NORMAL FACE PLEASE)
Hound (NON FAT, Jeep Alt Mode)

    Decepticons:
Megatron (LESS MONSTER LIKE PLEASE, Bucket head like, Add fusion cannon, Tank alt mode)
Starscream (NO CHICKEN LEGS, Add colors, g1 head like)
Soundwave (Car alt mode, Visor, "cassette" deployer is the front window,
add a less horrible Laserbeak, Frenzy more humanoid and g1 like, and ravage wih TWO EYES PLEASE.)
Shockwave (Rocket alt mode, Less big)
    Thundercracker (Same specifications as Starscream)
    Barricade
SkyWarp ( You know what should go her )
Bludgeon (Have a 2014 Drift look like, just do a skull like face)
    Bonecrusher (KEEP HIM ALIVE PLEASE)
    Scorponok (Exponentially bigger)

Have Sam replaced by Spike, he would live with his father (don't remember his name in the g1 cartoon lol), they would work on car repairs, and that searching for scraps, they would find Bee.

Have NO love interest till later films.

Decepticons arrive earlier too, but in a smaller version of the Nemesis, Megatron non Froze.

    LESS JOKES PLEASE.

    More Transformers development.

    That's about it.

    I'm open for opinions.

First movie barely handled 5 Autobots and what, 7 Decepticons? You have way too many characters for them to do anything unique or develop in any meaningful way. The rest of your idea is a little too barebones to really offer any criticism on.

Eh, with hindsight, I'd have done things a bit differently...

    - For starters, I'd have reworked the whole Army-guys-being-hunted and Air-Force-One-attack subplots so that one feeds into the other: instead of Air Force One being hacked, it literally gets brought down over the jungle (where the Army guy stuff was originally supposed to take place, rather than the desert), and Lennox and his men are a search-and-rescue team trying to save the President which gets hunted by Ravage (again as was originally intended before they switched in Scorponok) as they try to make their escape...y'know, really echo "Predator". In fact, I'd even go so far as to have Laserbeak be the attacker on Air Force One rather than Frenzy, so that both of them can hunt Lennox's crew; it also gives the pair having beast modes a little more logic, since they ARE in the jungle at this point.
    - I'd have also taken aspects of Mikaela's backstory and reconfigured them into Maggie (like the dad-with-a-shady-past bit), so that Mikaela is essentially the Hot Girl Sam's been wooing since they were kids and in the end she has no more interest in him than before (and therefore no further importance to the story) - but eventually he instead kinda-sorta hooks up with the slightly-nerdier hacker Maggie...shades of Charlie + Memo, I suppose. In fact, rather than having Maggie get carted in by Keller with all the other techies, I'd play up her shadiness with her being a straight-up hacker who inadvertently cracks the Project Iceman files and gets arrested by S7 early on, which leads to her eventual involvement in what follows.
    - I'd have gotten rid of Glen and Judy (yes, that means Ron would be either a divorcee or widower - that would have given the one truly great moment he ever had, during the desert battle in ROTF, even more weight). Simmons is comedy relief enough, and at least in the first movie his moments of being a dumb^$$ were tempered with the moments where he was just an ^$$.
    - I'd have kept Jon Voight, but in accordance with the above changes, I'd have cast him as the President, because it's easier for me to believe the President would take a rifle to a couple of jungle-beast murder-robots when it's Jon Voight playing him.
    - Likewise, instead of 'Bee spending half the movie as a Classic Camaro and half the movie as a new one, I'd have had him be a VW for that first half and THEN switch to a Classic Camaro.
    - The 'Cons' plan would basically be this: Cybertron's gone, time to get a new homeworld. Rather than waste their precious resources fighting with us to take it, though, they're trying to trigger WWIII so that we'll all kill ourselves off while all they have to do is sit back, ride it out and enjoy the show (a sort of nod to the classic "Twilight Zone" episode "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street").

The biggest thing i'd change is the robots can speak in vehicle mode, which is something the films really don't do that i don't understand frankly.

also get another guy to do Jazz, his voice was too deep for my liking.

No offense, but this is what I read:

    “G1, G1, G1, G1, G1.”

Plus that’s too many Transformers for the first movie.

Okay what I just read, is only G1-loved in the first movie, but you already got a G1 like film in Bumblebee, since the first movie have it's own takes of the characters plus it's brings Barricade and Blackout into the world.

I honestly don't feel like most of these things would have made a huge difference. Aesthetic things like Ironhide's color scheme might make the movie a little bit more enjoyable for Transformers fans, but wouldn't really improve the movie on any important level.

I do agree that the Autobots should have arrived earlier in the movie. Or have Bumblebee meet Sam earlier. It's weird that Sam meets Bumblebee a few minutes before he meets the rest of the Autobots. It would have been cool to see their friendship form earlier in the movie, and then have Sam get dragged into the larger conflict (so we feel like they have a connection by then).

Bumblebee was absent from the Bumblebee movie for a while, but the writers solved that problem by including a brief Autobot-focused opening, which essentially says "hey, these guys are important". They also cut a fair amount of human stuff. If you watch the deleted scenes, there was going to be more drama with Charlie and her friends/family. Cutting that down to the bare minimum helped keep Bumblebee in the picture more often. The 2007 movie probably could have cut some stuff with Sam, to speed up the Autobot introduction. Just cutting 30 - 45 seconds out of each scene with Sam (or his parents) probably would have gone a long way, as well as cutting some jokes and other unnecessary stuff. They really didn't need to show us so much of his life or focus on his troubles for too long...all of that is basically just a setup for how he meets Bumblebee, which is the important thing.

I guess that would be the way I'd change the movie...introduce Bumblebee and Sam earlier and cut a lot of stuff with only Sam and his parents and school life. And maybe give Megatron more of a plan and personality.

They had a few more bots and cons such as Prowl, Wheeljack and Arcee; Skywarp, Shockwave, Soundwave and Ravage.

Ravage would be fought the soldiers in a jungle instead of Scorponok in a desert.

The final battle would've been at the Grand Canyon

    If I directed the movie...
    • Less Screentime for the humans and more scenes of the Transformers.
    • The Transformers will be introduced much earlier.
    • There will be fewer Transformers, being a 4 V. 4.
    • Scenes that show much more of Cybertron.
    • Scenes that humanize the Transformers.
    • Less exposition dumps.
    • Some fan service, but not too much.
    • More scenes where the Transformers interact with each other.
    • Scenes focusing on the Decepticons.

Good writing costs the same as bad writing. Until you get popular, anyways.

That is not accurate I'm taking screenwriting so I've learned how it works. Theres no good writing or bad writing theres a thing called feedback and rewriting things. They tell you what works and what doesnt work tell me what's your knowledge about screenwriting and how that works

What is the purpose of feedback and rewriting then, if not to improve a story? Make it better than it was before?
